I'm trying to wait until the show too, I've never been so I'm interested to see what I can find. Of course they still haven't told me if I get the day off so I might be out anyway

But the shows a whole week away, a whole week with an empty bator!

hahaha

you looking for eggs ?????

I will bring eggs, at least afew varieties...AND teresa can stay at my son's with her 5th wheel!! That would be awesome !!

CL: Thank you so very much.....we would more than love to do that...but I am just afraid of the weather. If for some reason DH thinks the weather will cooperate, than I will contact you or we will contact the Monroe Fair grounds....but at this point, I think I am going to go and make reservations so we have somewhere to hang our hat. Looks like we are going to come over Fri night after we get off work (around 6) and then we will leave Sun morning, that way we can stay SAT all day long with no worries.

Well shoot anything less than 60' I have room. And don't worry about getting over here and the weather turning bad. I am sure I could make a very fine coop out of a nice big fifth wheel.

You can always take them to H&R for a free second look after you file them. If anything is wrong, an ammended return is $99 and if the returns are within $13 of each other, it is still free and you get their guarantee (they will pay interest in penalties and audit help should the IRS have a problem with your return). Their downloadable software for $19.99 is really good (claims you need the $29 version if you own a home, but that is B.S. - the $29 version just has more instructions) You can do up to 5 returns on the software. for $79 they have a "Best of Both" you do your taxes online then go to the office and have a Sr. tax advisor look over it for any errors. Some people really take advantage of this offer, especially people with very complicated, expensive return. They enter like 1 of their 6 rental properties, com to the office and have them completed, so they pay only $79 for something that shold cost several hundred. Our office finds missed money on nearly all the Turbo Tax returns, mostly people missing the sales tax deduction.

We almost had a bit of a disaster today. I had to go to the Dr. And DW deciced she would stay home and take care of her chickens since I wouldn't be long. Well when I got home as I walked in the smell of schorched something just about knocked me over. Well turns out while I was gone she decided to cook some rice for the chickens.

She got distracted with the tv and got the rice a little over cooked. Like near black. The pan got so hot that it turned the top of the stove black and took me about 1/2 hour to scrub it off. I informed her that from now on she is not to cook anything unless there is somebody here with her. Could have been a real bad situation but we were lucky.

Whats required for state disability? My DH is on and off Federal Disability but I didn't know there was State also. Even $266 will help if we can add it to his Federal. Bummer though if you can't get the Federal. Once DH qualified there was still a 6 months waiting period. They wanted you to be disabled with no income for 6 months, I guess to make sure you were really disabled! And thats when payments began, there was nothing retroactive.

nope cant supplement that 266 bucks at all, if they catch you they kick you off. I am not sure how anyone can live on 266 a month...I chose to cancel the app for disability and work if I can. I could not keep gas and insurance on a car for that amount in a month. My mom says...now I know why the disabled live in their cars and under bridges...how sad is that?

.... and it is amazing how many of the homeless, living under bridges, are still decent, honest, law abiding people even though our government has neglected them... we had at least 2 come in to our offices to file their taxes recently, one qualified for free 1040 EZ return and had a whopping return of only $24 which we have no way to get back to him (he said he will come pick it up someday...) and the other owed $2 which he paid. The preparer put him on his "friends and family" so he would not have to pay to file the return.
