My EE's lay the prettiest blue/green eggs, and they are very reliable layers too - 6 eggs a week per bird since they started; and they are hatchery birds!

Count me in on that! I will be eating that Friday night as well...funny, I've been craving STICKY rice the most! LOL

Yum! My first pregnancy, I craved Japanese food, especially Nebayaki Udon, sashimi and coffee jello! DS LOVES all those!

I'm hoping I can control my buying at the show ... I'm hoping to fix up part of the yard over the spring/summer (build it up, add drainage, and fence) so I can have another area for Banties. DD really wants some of CGG's Millifleur cochins and now that CR has posted a photo of the eggs, I'm thinking RIR Bantams. Don't want to buy 50 chickens and fill all my coops at once! What time will you be there Friday? I need to pick up my giant mutt from the groomers, but I may head over and peek around, maybe pick up the hen early.

I wish I could eat it, but cannot have wheat, so, since we order in, I can bring my own home made !
I always pack my own meals so I will do so again..I do not trust restaurants after one woman tried to convince me that her white bread had no wheat in it, but the whole wheat did, and she insisted I could eat the sourdough as well,,,,, turd heads!
I tried to tell her all breads are made with wheat, (there) just some has been made using the whole grain, not just the soft white interior, and she just went blank....this is a real adult living here who has thought all her life that only whole wheat bread had wheat in it !!!!! So what is the rest of the bread made of, I asked her....BLANK>>>so much for restaurants offering a gluten free meal, then they use the same cutting board & utensils...no thanks. I wish I could have good Chinese or Asian (love the peanut sauce !!) but I have to have gluten free so I will bring my own..OK ?? So we eat COOP IN ???

Goodnight !!

Well, here about 1 week (or less) ago I posted about my little banty Cochin - Hannah. I may have figured out her problem....NOt only was she telling her DH (Tyson the Roo) to be quiet and to just wait a minute.....but she is now broody. I had signs and symptoms that I thought she might be.....But today...sure thing. I went in and she was sitting in her favorite spot (not in a box) and when I came in the door she puffed up and growled at me. Checked her...no eggs under her. MY DH had taken them from her yesterday. I took the eggs that were laid today and lifted her up and put them under her. Now mind you she will be shadowed by any children she hatches out (if she does) because the eggs were all the BR girls' eggs. So I think she has 5 or 6 eggs under her. We will let her do what she wants. I put a bit of food in front of her and she ate.

I was in the process of cleaning out the coop, adding a dusting box, and scraping as much goop out of the run as I could. Anytime I came in the door....Hannah puffs up and chicken growls at me. I about died laughing.

So: I have an incubator coming...which I will then soon be putting eggs into. I am picking up 3 ladies from CL maybe a few other girls from a few other BYC (depending on what happens), there are eggs, chicks available at the show this weekend.....AND I have a broody banty. Hmmmmm, now I know what you mean by chicken math.

Goodnight !!

I had someone tell me that Olivia could eat lunch at her house since they eat white bread and not wheat, but the kid was 9.

I made GF strawberry crepes for breakfast on Sunday. A bit chewy, but the taste was divine, especially since I made the jam the day before. Just pulled Bob's Red Mill brownies out of the oven, I'll try them when they cool a bit. They smell wonderful!

Oh Bob's brownies are wonderful, and I add (a bar of cream cheese with vanilla and powder sugar and make) cream cheese frosting and everyone inhales them!!
But, the best GF brownie's are Pamela's...to die for !! With nothing added...I do add walnuts as we have the 10 acres in walnuts in California...if I had to buy walnuts...

they are expensive, but so very good for you...

Ogress, so sorry your heart is sad about your kitty. So hard when those who depend on you need help you feel like you can't give. But as everyone else has said, you did right.

Dingleberry(I call my kids this when they are being really silly), jjhere and kkmoto... Welcome to the chattiest, friendliest bunch of chicken addicts you'll find anywhere.

Ogress the woman who told me was older than I am, in Chehalis at Subway...%$#@%^^ and it was impossible to explain to her that all their bread was made with wheat.
I responded by the subway commercials that they had a glute free meal..wrong.
Even the sauce on their teriyaki chicken was made with wheat, and she insisted only the whole wheat bread had wheat, you should have seen the brain dead blank she did when we asked her (in stereo) what the rest of their bread was made out of???????????

This is what Mama calls "Stoopido, stoopido, stoopido!!!" (She is a pedigree Italiano right off the boat

) Daddy is a Scot, and from him, I get the celiac issues.
And raised on pasta, home made ravis and bread...loved it. althogh it was killing me way back then....OK Goodnight !!

DS Loves Pamela's pancake mix. I did not use it for the crepes. I mixed Bobs all purpose with equal parts potato flour. I could not find her brownie mix. They charge nearly $7 per bag here!
