Oh I think those were culls that Royce had for sale?

Yes they were. He was asking $10 a piece for them. The 3 DQ by the door were his too. He told me he was not sure why they were DQ - they sure were gorgeous! I did not notice they were sick, but I did not spend much time looking at them.

all I can say, it's a good thing that the coop isn't ready and the run isn't built yet --- or a couple(or all three) of those might have been going home with me ... I don't at this point give a hoot about SQ for myself, I am looking for eye candy and eggs; of course they might already have sold

BTW, I did look longingly at the chicken necklaces, but DH said "hey wait a minute, our chicks would try to eat those" .. as I leaned over the brooder box ...

sorely tempted by that porcelain D'Uccle that was for sale too --- but no place to put, and I don't have the consistent energy for the care needed to keep a feather-foot tidy

thought about that Hovabator --- glad it found a better home -- I may yet try my hand at building a bator ...

Ok, so here is the BYC Wa peeps and quackers pic. Sorry it's a bit blurred, iPhone are real sensitive. Sorry we didn't get everyone in, maybe next time!

Look at that sneaky Rustler hidin' his face so we can't identify him later!

I just wanted to drop in to tell you we had an absolutely awesome time at the show yesterday but....next time I leave the kids at home, lol. They did ok considering we were on the road by 7 and not home till 6.

My hubby and I seen a couple birds with bubbly eyes and other "symptoms". We discussed this on the way home as I would like to take the lunge into showing. A bit concerned about this though.

I loved meeting everybody, had a great time with Lynn, am thrilled I won duck eggs (I have no idea how to incubate them, help!) and even more thrilled that I went home with 3 of Jen's silkies and 16 of Jean's eggs. Somehow we left with a pair of welsummers as well, lol, from Jen. I know they will be awesome birds.

Still a nice pic of a great group of people. I need that photo to be tagged though because there are some I didn't get a chance to meet!

(listening to kitchen chickens purring... I had no idea. Love them.)

"those EE things in cages near the door" --- I think were blue wheaten Ameraucanas -- if the cage tag was correct --- yes, I thought those were gorgeous ... had to resist the impulse to grab up cages and run ...
