Mine did exactly the same thing after being recalled to active duty after 911. I was pregnant at the time and totally lost it on him hormonally! You would have thought he had had an affair!

Poor guy just was stressed about being recalled. Never saw another after that.

It's just nasty, too....

Well...that's an idea...maybe I can have an emotional, sobbing breakdown? I've tried the screaming and threatening and that seems to have no effect. Maybe he will quit for the BABY!?

Most guys can't take it when their women cry for real! It tears them up. Might work, did with mine. Of course I didn't disclose what I was sobbing about right away, I let him stew a bit first!

Oh JJ would just make me loose it.
Funny how some people get off watching/listening to other stupid people's idiot poop!
Why can't he get off the tube & help out?
Geeeze, years go by all all they do is sit & listen to ridiculous garbage.
I watch America's Funniest Videos sometimes...not often, seems there is way too many reruns.
I cannot sit long anyway, gotta move, and have a hard time forcing myself to lie down & relax, even when I am sick.

Well, He will help more when the weather is 'acceptable'. I think he has that depression where you need sun but doesn't do anything about it. And he needs to have his shoulder replaced and the Oxy doesn't touch the pain anymore so after working all day he pretty much doesn't want to move. He is able to do stuff but the weather doesn't sit well with him. Everytime I walk in the house and he is still in the same spot I want to scream. I should be more tolerant and empathetic but I've dealt with his health issues for 12 years now and it wears me out. Besides, everytime I try to be helpful he gets mad but him living with all his health issues is hard for him too. I'm not the one in pain and getting stuck with needles all the time. Oh well, you know what they say, in SICKNESS and in health.

Your DH sounds just like mine, only mine is in front of a computer! I know my DH has SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder); bring out the sun, and suddenly he has energy! When we built this place, I made sure we have lots of big windows and no curtains nor shades so he can't block it out! (He grumbles about the glare on the screen instead).

Mr Chickieman said he quit, I watched him out of the corner of my eye and he apeared to have quit.
I found no butts, no smoke on his clothes, he said he quit!
My parents slapped him on the back, he went right along with all the congradulations, for WEEKS!
Everyone was doing the yoo hoo !
And asking stuff like "doesn't it feel good ?
Don't you feel better?
Aren't you glad you quit & are saving so much money?"
He went right along with it.
One day at M&Ds I said "He has quit for 2 months so far! A celebration !!!"
And we did celebrate, then a few days later I was digging in his shop for some screws and opened a mayo plastic container he saves for screws, and there they were, a big stinky pile of cigarette butts, closed off to prevent me smelling them.
I kept hunting & found another box in a rafter that looked odd, inside were packs of cigarettes & a few lighters.
The applesauce !!!!!!!!!!!!
How could he keep leading us all on ?
It isn't so much the effects on his health, although that is bad enough..but he lied and lied and lied to us all.
Lying like that makes me wonder what else he is lying about, know what I mean ?
But then I am old enough to not give a can of peaches about it.
I do hate the way smokers take everything from their families, in a grand attempt to cure lung cancer, you can bet your peaches the chemo & surgeries will get you a few more AGONIZINGLY PAINFILLED months, with lungs full of more & more shards of glass in the lungs everyday, and the house gets 2nd mortgaged for treatment, and the cars get sold to pay for yet more chemo and diet and treatments, and NOTHING will save you.
In the end, the family is left alone, with either second mortgages, or OUTRAGEOUS medical bills that they will be stuck paying for near the rest of their lives..no insurance will pay for lung cancer chemo or any treatments, when you smoke, you WILL get cancer.
I told him off & also told him when he gets cancer, he will not get a penny of treatment out of me and our home will not get sold for treatment for him, you get it, you have a few weeks & you are gone.
I will be lucky if I can afford the funeral.

I can smell a smoker. The smell comes from their skin. No amount of mouthwash will wash that out and IVORY soap doesn't work either.
I'm glad nobody smokes at our house. My father & step dad were chain smokers. Second hand smoke? You bet. We use to have to sit in an airconditioned car with dad's smokes. He even did pipes & cigars one time & my mom said no. Too stinky.
My youngest brother smokes 1 a day. He was sent to China by Microsoft. It is the business culture there.
No way around it...that's his story...
