Well my bantam cochin (Hannah) decided to go broody (20 days ago to be exact). I stuffed 6 of my BR eggs under her...and decided to see what would happen. Last week (day 14)...4 of the eggs I stuck under her were infertile...so 2 looked dark. Well, today...day 20...I went and looked under her this morning..nada..nothin. Tonight, went to lock up the hen house and I am hearing peeps....YEP. We got babies. 2 little beautiful fluffy BR babies. They are soooooo cute.

Hannah and babies were in the main coop, I took momma and babies and put them in a rubbermaid tub with some food and water. Tomorrow when it is a bit warmer and lighter, the little girls (Sophie and Juliet) are getting kicked out of the chick-n-hut and I am turning it into a nursery for Hannah and babies.

DD wants to go to feed store and buy a couple more babies to stick under Momma when she is not looking. Can chickens count? We are so excited for our little ones. They are so dang cute. Unfortunately, my bator still has another 7 days to go, or would just stick any babies from there under her, but I think a week is just too big of a difference...don't you?

My Brinsea says that duck eggs need a higher humidity and also, let the incubator just warm up for a few hours and then work with it....if like my brinsea it has to "stabalize".

lol I understand completely! Ive been with my DH for 6 years married for almost 4. He does mean well, so I keep my mouth shut 90% of the time. lol But it will always baffle me as to why he even bothers to ask, and then when Im not even done speaking he does the oposite! lol

Little goober that he is, I love him dearly. Couldn't emagine my life without him. Even though he is a major pain in the rear. lol

DH and I celebrated our 17th anniversary yesterday...long time to be picking up someone else's socks and fighting over the remote with. I totally believe the saying "Men are from Mars, women are from Venus". I no longer complain about how he washes dishes or how he loads the dishwasher...I am just thankful he has done it. Gotta love him, if I didn't who would love me...and I ain't easy to get along with. I kinda feel sory for the guy.

After spending hours on my bathroom floor watching a thermometer.... I made a ham for dinner... proceeded to eat a few bites and puked

....... wrapped it in foil to put it in the fridge........ and dumped it all over myself and the floor. Clean it up. Changed my PJ's. Came out to make a protein shake instead........ Put a straw in the shake to take a drink........ and dumped it all over myself and the floor. Clean it up. Changed my PJ's.

AAAAA screw it! I'm going to bed!!!!
