Is it preferable to use medicated or non-medicated chick feed? I have been using unmedicated because I thought I read on the bag that if you are feeding them medicated, they will not build up a resistance to cocci.

Be sure to e-mail us when they are ripe - I can about 24 jars of Elberta's each fall. I usually pay an arm and a leg for two boxes at the local Farmers Market - I'd rather drive over the Mtns and make a nice day getting some from someone I sorta know. Apricots too ... never canned them. Dried or made to Jam. The yummiest I've ever had were from an old abandoned orchard in the hills above San Jose. Never had them that sweet up here ... prettier, yes; but sour!
