I have lemon blue cochins (LF) in my incubator on a fertility test.
They are so adorable!!
Sweet and Calm, shy and gentle.
If they hatch, I will give you a buzz.
I'm looking for something like that, with a side order of broody and not prone to flight for the west yard with Ian and Sylvia; the Hamburgs are going on the northeast side, and I suspect I'll need a tall net roof to keep them out of the oak trees (which, to appreciate the joke, begin branching about 20 feet off the ground).
I have a 1 1/2 foot garden wire fence that I corraled around the gate to the Cochins pen.
I open their gate & they can come out & eat grass & visit.
So far, they have never flown over.
Sometimes I wonder if they know they can.
They will stand at the edge & beg for a treat...Heather must have hand raised these beauties.
They will fly the 2 feet to their roost, though, that is as far as they go.
