Quote:
"Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree, merry merry king of the bush is he, Laugh! Kookaburra,
Laugh! Kookaburra, gay old king is he."
I never hear the monkey one, and as far as I know, that is one weird animal Australia does not have.
We sang it many years ago when I was a 6th grader at St. Aloysius in Spokane. My memory may not be as accurate as I'd like, but there are definitely lyrics about a monkey. We must have been studying Australia at the time because we also used to sing Waltzing Matilda. Perhaps a song choice Tyson can croon for his newest little groupie?
I had a good laugh over this. Right now he is not having to sing too awful loud for her as she is always RIGHT there.
