Your general John Q. Public vet is not licensed for wildlife and cannot (legally) help/keep any form of wildlife.

I just watched a slide show of some of the wedding photos. What's up with those awful hats? Looks like some of the royals had their hatmakers go down to the local dollar store for applesauce to stick on their heads! Looked like they were competing for ugliest headwear.

The chickens and I would be in serious conflict if they messed with my washing.

I'm immune to The Hats, having looked at all the photos from Ladie's Day at Ascot for about five years, but... If you are the Queen's granddaughter, do they give you the top secret antigravity generator to stick a giant thing on the front of your head with no visible means of support?

I'm feeling all discouraged about ever being a competent chicken person. I've ended up making a bunch of bad decisions about building my chicken coop, and spending too much money, and not getting it finished yet, and yada yada yada...

The good Lord help us all....we now have 2 "fat kids"...one who is unofficially named and one officially named.

I am thinking they are both going to set us up for multiple laughs.

I am home.

Mom did something awesome for me.... I guess when she ordered the incubator the people talked her into a candler.... only took 2 weeks longer to arrive. Its a Cool Lite.. .. so I had to test it on a few of my eggs even though they are only day 4.... I only picked a few randomly.... I think all are developing... one for sure had an "eye" which i showed mom... the others had veins. this candler is powerful enough for thick green and dark brown eggs.

The bad news? I came home, checked my incubator and the pan was empty... 20% humidity....

So i filled the pan up and now humidity is up to 45% not as high as the beginning but then maybe things are different because the eggs are developing....

Charlie was happy to see me... he immediately wanted me to play throw the ball...

My little car was so packed full. Its amazing i could lift some of the stuff.

Heather I am SO HAPPY for you and so happy to hear that you got into a Doc that knows the meaning of good bedside manner. Hoping things continue to go well from this point forward.
