The crows keep the hawks away.. so I tend to not mind that they steal some of the kitchen scraps in the yard meant for the chickens. I DO keep an eye on things if there are young chicks or ducklings though.... a crow once stole my eggs off the top of one of the hutches too. lol! I figured that was MY fault..

Not to worry the "RAVEN" you got from me won't steal any treats or bother yer chickens !!! It is gaurnteed safe.

Today really sucked for me. Got up this am and had a killer headache and was very sore all over. I spent the day sleeping in my recliner. Managed to fix dinner for DW and back to sleep. Finally about 7 I oke and tried to go out side for a bit. Well just got out and this van stopped and asked if we called the Fire Dept.? Nope what is the address? He tells me and it was Michelle's. I run into the arena and there she is laying against the wall with her mother and cousin by her. Seems she was working a horse and he had one of his moments. The ambulance took her in and we still haven't heard anything yet. But it has only been about 2 1/2 hours. She was hurting in her hip and back. I have ZERO tolerence for stupid animals and this horse as much as I like him is stupid. I really don't know if he will ever be any good. He has done this kind of stuff too many times. If he were mine he would be headed the same place the last one I had like this went.

Ok just thought I would post (in case no one hasn't)

Osama Bin Laden is DEAD!!!!

Apparently there are tons of parties in Pullman tonight that I am missing out on... Instead cuddling with my dog Charlie and reading a book before bed.

Also I think Hitler died on May 1st too....

It depends on what area of the country you are in--as to what bird is the "camp robber."

Magpies are the black & white birds that are frequently along the roads eating roadkill. I have not seen them in campgrounds before. Only in lower elevations, along the roads.

In some areas, "Camp Robbers" are Loggerhead Shrikes.

They look similar to a Clark's Nutcracker but they are different birds.

In other areas, they are the Clark's Nutcracker (aka Gray Jay).

In other areas, the Stellar's Jay is also known to sneak in & steal dog food and stuff from campsites and hence, is called a "Camp Robber."

Uh oh.....I hope everything is okay....Harbor View--she'll be in good hands....but it sounds like that horse needs a little more um..."work?" Or a bullet?

Sometimes, horses are mental cases and cannot be helped or changed....despite the training that is attempted. It's sad, really but when it comes right down to a horse vs a human life....sorry, horse loses. They are just such huge & powerful animals and there are too many good ones out there needing great homes.....

Anyway, sorry about what's going on. I got a little side-tracked.
