Yes, he's tired of glasses. Tried contacts over the last year and didn't like them either. He participates in Tae Kwon Do 3 nights a week, and rides a motorcycle, and glasses just get in his way for both activities.

yup. I wanna do mine. Everyone I have talked to says there is NO PAIN. There are NO NERVES in the eye.
They actually laser operate on the eye while you lay there & look up into the microscope...fascinates me!!!!!!

I had Lasik done 5 or 6 years ago and I love it!! It was painless during the procedure but after I teared up all over the place and it didn't stop for hours! It didn't hurt but the tears wouldn't stop coming. Then after that was the dry eye problem for awhile. You use lots of drops until the nerves that produce the natural tears and moisture in your eye reconnect. It was sooooo worth it. But I have heard horror stories. I think the technology has gotten better over time too.

ohhh -- those are quite attractive ... makes me wish I dared have more chickens ... but I have as many as I have space for, already, and really don't want to trade my babes away

I am going on a feed run to Winlock today.
Just did 3 weeks ago but am getting the shipment of meaties from McMurray hatchery arriving either friday or Tuesday and Scott at Patriot Farms told me he had a "deal" with his meat bird feed...I have to talk to him about it this morning and if he has none ground, then we waite & go get feed Thursday.
I have not called him yet cuz it is early...
I had people buying birds & eggs at 8 PM last night..just when you want to relax, watch TV or take a shower...up the driveway come the lights.
Sometimes it is like "field of Dreams" with 3 or 4 cars...hard to turn them around here too....
So, I waite to hear what Scott has to say about his special deal on the meaty feed...before I can give CR any answer as to meeting up.

I really hate to leave the property for ANY length of time with the cat still prowling about.
Across the street, in the tidelands, the grass is up to 3 feet tall, and thick!
In the grass, is hundreds of ducks & geese and wild rabbits, nesting & raising their young.
The cat spends alot of time here during this time of year as food is plentiful & easy to catch.
Makes me very nervous!!!

Are you referring to the belly button ?
If so, a q-tip slathered in vaseline & you may be able to push/twirl and gently push the outy back in.
Sometimes it will pop back out & will die from infection as Clover said.

I thought I had remembered you talking about the vaseline so I tried that but to no avail. As soon as it would cheep, everything would partially bulge putting stress on the opening.
This chick pipped low but came along and made it out so I thought it would make it. Then it rolled onto it's back and I saw the hole. Poor thing!

Sometimes it works, and sometimes it was not meant to be.

Is that yours? It's very nice.

Not yet, but it is on my want list.
I want one on this little barn, and a big one to match on our barn house as soon as it is built.
Cannot see the colors, but is cast copper & brass.....blinks and shines as it turns.
