Yeah I got a number of my college classes out of the way while I was in high school as well.

I hate to tell you this, but math and science go hand in hand.

Not in MY brain! But maybe that's why I didn't do very well in either. I did great in Biology, and Microbiology though.

Oh I did great in Biology as well. But there's still a lot of math there. Genetics, probability, exponential growth.. Then you have molecular biology, where you get into chemistry, which is much like physics, only with more formulas.

It's just hidden with all the definition memorization.

ETA: Off topic.. I just had to break up a cock fight.. between my cockatoo and my cockerel.. instigated by the cockatoo. She's a jealous wench.

Rainplace - LOVED your website!

I know what you mean about people thinking you are too nice - but you know it just ultimately makes things a lot easier. We have a neighbor who has driven out three previous neighbors. I just find a way to get along with her and it sounds like we've been so much better off than the previous occupants. Fortunately we all have 2 1/2 to five acres so we aren't right on top of each other, but she apparently shot and killed a neighbors' dog (that probably wasn't really guilty of what she was accusing him of). But I think because I talk to her and listen to her concerns she's been really happy with my collies and manages to coexist with us pretty well.

.
If I order any chickens, I will also have to order a NEW Bed and mattress. My DW says if I get ANYMORE chickens, that I can just sleep out there with them!

OK CCL I have to tell you now that I have Dysautonomia (Autonomic Dysfunction), which among other interesting annoyances, causes me to faint (or nearly faint) pretty much everyday if I don't spend the majority of it with my head lower than my feet. Lack of oxygen can cause a lot of other problems in the body, as you might expect, including impaired thought processes.

I know that there are forms of Dysautonomia in dogs, cats and other animals. I know also that there is some relationship with chickens and the adrenologic chemicals in the egg. I wonder if there is a possibility that your chicken, like me, releases chemicals under stress that impair normal heart function and affect it's ability to receive enough oxygen in it's brain.
I find it really interesting that your chicken faints, and if you ever decide you need to rehome her, I am your girl. Seems fitting somehow.

This is a few links to Dysautonomia info; in Adults and one that is about children with Dysautonomia

I am pretty sure that eventhough we checked just before roost tyme. One of these must have been a left over from last nite. And Speckles our little sicilian buttercup blessed us wiff 2 daze inna row. Woody seems to be a pretty happy little cmaper. He now has a nice little whtie slkie gyrl friend and has been takin crow lessns from Fuzzaroo. I am way too scared to put woody in wiff Fuzz and the others now for fear of him scapin again so I am thinkin gonna have to build another coop/run and put Woody and Peepers my OEGB hen in there. Whoo knows maybe something mysterious will happen and they will have a family.

Does anybody know anything about the eggs (breed/bloodline) I posted I am winning. Not that it really matters. I mean after all they are free.
OK OK OK will ya allow me one last question? (in this post).
We (me and DN) are looking at doin a hatchery order. I have no idea where to go. She wants egg layers and meaties. I want EE's any suggestions on what hatchery to go to.

I love working with McMurray Hatchery. Minimum 25, and you can get a free rare chick with each order. I have 4 EE's from them - All healthy and laying at 21-23 weeks.
I also think it would be great to get Ameraucana/EE's from Sandhill. You can order White and Black seperate of the multicolors. They also have a great assortment of heritage chickens. I don't know if they do meaties however. And I have heard that it is hard to get them to call you back.... Also ordering the old fashioned way. No internet orders.

By the way, who is DN?
