Oh I wish I was there with a Pina Colada lounging by your pool!!!!!!!!
lau.gif

At least it is nice & warm in the pool room!!!

But ya would have been even wetter because Olivia was in there splashing around. There is no where to escape the splash in there so either you join in or get out! I think I may find me one of those lounging pool floats with the drink holder, tie it to the current generator (since the float is nearly as big as the pool), turn the current on, maybe hang a couple of the chicken heat lamps above the pool so it feels like there is some sun!

Excellent idea, but first, farm out Olivia, turn the current off, and make sure the blender & mixes are right there on the side of the pool so ya don't have to go far...

....oh, and some nice Hawaiian Music...maybe a whole bunch of those banana trees & palms Rainwolf was talking about...I bet they would grow really well in there as long as the monkeys don't climb up them:lol:
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh...sounds so nice!!

Golly be!
I thought for sure I would log back on & find 10 pages here to go through.
My cable will be disconnected again tomorrow when the 'dudes are back..it runs right across the dig site & is not long enough to go around it, until we get to HD & buy some more cable...I ate some wheat by accident.
This is a significant find as I get sick often & cannot figure out how?
But DH grills buns & garlic bread on a certain part of the grill..and I went & cooked burgers today and apparently used that spot for my patty.
Sure enough..I am sick.
he scolded me for using the the bread spot for my meat, I retaliated by scolding him for using the meat spot for his applesauce bread!!!
After all, why is MY spot the wrong spot ?
geeze is it roped off or something?
We agreed to use the same spot for bread now.
And now I know why I get sick for no apparent reason..........
Anyone heard from Toni yet?
She still has not answered messages I sent.
I fear she hayes me for not showing up..but I warned her that the contractor circus was supposed to show up.

Stumpfarmer:: I want 2 or 3 OLD WORLD climbing roses that are profusely fragrant, pink, white & yellow...I am studying which I want.
Just wondered if any of those types have landed in your yard, and which are doing the best in this nasty weather.
My sis has a few Flora bundas..and they just hang & get black spot in this rain.
An old world single petal is supposed to be much more capible of tolerating heavy rains due to the single row of petals.
I had peonies when I lived in Bothell, what a joke, even with tomato cages they drooped so heavy with rain they would just snap off & break.
A waste of mooah.
Also wanted to say the big bunch of curly willow DH brought back from our yard in CA is sprouting leaves & roots now, in a bucket.
I am going to have to seperate the many branches soon or they will grow into one big root wad.........free to good homes, need watering or a wet area (LOL)

Well, I am gonna go, too much fun happening here for me

Y'all have a great weekend.
I have chicks coming tomorrow morning, my meaties & dark cornish...and the 3rd choice delivery date for Sandhill is tomorrow too.
The first date they were to ship was May 3rd, and nothing happened, the second shipping date was May 17th, and once again, nothing came.
The third shipping date for Sandhill is tomorrow..since I ordered in December, I kinda thought I would have delievery on the 3rd, or at worst by the 17th..........I wanted THOSE chicks grown out by the time THESE chicks arrived in my brooder.
I hate to think ill of them, but it is getting really hard not to.

So sorry for you!!!!!!!!!

Well, I am some 20 pages behind. Went camping up at the Loup Loup Ski Hill, where there was an archery shoot for DH to play at all weekend. I went up to socialize and clean and cook. Kind of like home.

Oh, well. had a good time. Durig the day I came into town to get a few chores done.

Well, I did not post this last week...but oldest DS and I had a diagreement and argued and (he will be 18 in 2 weeks) he walked out. That was last Wednesday. Kinda funny, moms have been calling and giving me updates on him. Letting me know he is okay. I have pretty much known where he was every night (probably much to his dismay). He may or may not come home this week. He will of course be informed that nothing is changing..he will still be expected to do chores and have the decency to let us know where he is during the week/weekend, respect his litle sister, etc. He is a good kid. He is just 18 and wants to be on his own. Also he will be informed that there will be NO coming back and forth. Next time he gets angry and leaves...he stays moved out. Unfortunately, the problem here is that he is only a Jr and has 1 more year of high school. Pray for me....and for him for all of us to come to our senses.

RFF: Went by your house some 4x . Saw your doggies in your yard. Waved towards you (well, at least your house). Lots of cars on the road.

We had lots of rain, hail, and lightning. Very exciting.

Tonight DD and I will candle the eggs that Rachel gave me. I will let you know how they are/do.

Jbear: Someone is laying an egg. It is so tiny and cute. I know it is not Adam...

Probably Martha, I would guess. They are being handled daily. Love them.

?? how is rat poison ever safe for pets? where did you get that info? can you share the data that shows its safe for pets?

No, Red, you are correct, rat and mouse bait is NEVER safe for pets. Let me tell you as an emergency room veterinary technician, there is no such thing as a rat, mouse, gopher, slug, snail or mole bait that is safe for pets, even if it is labeled as such.

The rat and mouse baits that make the rodents bleed to death internally does the same thing to dogs and cats. It doesn't matter if they are "bruised" or not from crawling through small spaces, it will make them spontaneously bleed internally and they will die if not treated early enough.

The other type of rat and mouse bait (active ingredient is bromethalin) causes neurologic symptoms and does not affect clotting ability. Once a pet shows neuro symptoms from ingesting this type of rat bait there is nothing that can be done for them, it is not reversible like the anticoagulant type can be.

While we're on the subject, the slug bait that says "safe for pets" ISN'T. I don't know how many dogs our ER clinic has treated for ingesting that type of slug bait...

Just for the record. I do have a slug bait that is safe for everyone else....
....take a cool whip bowl...fill it about 1/2 full of beer. submerge the bowl in the ground partially, try to cover with room to get under the cover...SLUGS LOVE BEER. They fall in and drown. This is great slug bait.
