Names are funny things, some say they pick themselves, but that's a whole other conversation.

It sounds like your young Roo is really something, I think roos are just so gorgeous!

Remember the shipped bantam cochin eggs I candled on day 10 and I was soooooooooooo excited that all 18 eggs were developing that I FORGOT to put them back in the incubator until I found them the next morning? Well I just candled before lockdown, and 17 out of the 18 were alive and kicking!!!!

Cool! And here I thought I was being original! I'd love to see a picture of her. My Ginger is my avatar, she's a skittish little thing and doesn't want anyone to touch her. But since she lays such pretty eggs I still like her.

If you go to my BYC web page she is the first picture at the bottom.

Oh how pretty, she's the color of fresh ginger, yum!
Nicely decorated coop, too! I can't do that... it might look better than my house!

Well, I just got off the phone with my new soon-to-be boss. I had a few questions before I fully accepted. The pay is better than where I am at now and the hours will be better for me to be able to participate in kid activities. I just had to verify/think over a bit of information. But, yes, I accepted the position. It is going back into doing medical transcription and bill coding.

YEAHH, CONGRATS, YIPPEE!!! Glad to hear good news on the employment front!

Spent all day at the auction...man was that tiring after getting up at 4 to see the girls off to camp. I think we were there 4 hours watching thing get sold and waiting to be paid. Got to chat with Bolddogkennel for a bit. Sure hope your toe gets better quick, Diane!
Well, here's the new boy! He seems sweet so far, hope he stays that way. He is 4 mths and crowing. He was making the most interesting noise because he was separated from the other birds. Kind of a boowa ha ha noise. It sounded human almost. New one to me.

*CR- This is what else I brought home! The kids were so happy! Some friends for that poor lonesome B RIR roo. He still has a bit of growing to do before he can go in with them but at least he won't be alone forever! So if your other roo doesn't happen, I have 4 that you can have your free choice of.
Come to find out I knew the guy and you talk about him all the time. It's Jim V! Then when I saw him I realized he was/is friends with my foster parents. Hadn't seen him in probably 25 yrs! So that was a blast from the past! Quite the day.

Oh fun, I have a chicken named Ginger, too, she the EE. I named her that because she's the color of a ginger snap. What breed if yours?

My Ginger is an EE, too.
