I'm tellin ya Broody Muscovy's are where it's at!! They are the best mosquito munchin, fly crunchn machines!! They are so cool!! Your DH will LOVE what they can do!! Oh and they are very quiet too!!

I might be able to sell them to him if they eat their weight in slugs. We are swimming in slugs! My dog only eats so many. And then you have to put up with her slim danglers! YUCK! She almost looks rabid with that stuff slobbered all over her face!
Do all Muscovys have the bumpily red bills? Kinda creepy to me! But quiet is good!

yes, the females not as much of course as the males, and they are pretty! the girls do look girlie or at least mine do!

Muscovy ducks control flies and other insects the natural way. They are particularly helpful controlling flies, grasshoppers and locusts. In areas where rice is grown, Muscovies eat snails and slugs. If you put them in a pen with cows or calves they will eat most of the flies. In one experiment where two year old Muscovy ducks were put in cow pens, the fly population was reduced by 80 to 90 percent.

Thank you EVERYONE for all the kind words on my babies. I am still catching up with all the reading. Yes, there is some cherry 7-up for the kids...the water is for kids during swim team. I am so tired (been sick) I can't think of a whitty come back to pick on you. Sheesh....it is definitely time to go to bed. I will do more catching up tomorrow.

Again, thank you not sure how I managed to do it. I hate dealing with this. Wish I did not have to worry about it.

CR quit picking on the sicky...I can't think fast when I am doped up on NyQuil. I will think of a quick whitty comeback later.

ASK my BF about that ! That is pretty much been my mantra since I moved back here!! he he he!! I finally had to succumb to telling him tho, so when I popped the "we're getting another goat" on him he said "I'm surprised you told me first" LOL! I told him I wouldn't do that anymore, so I'm not! So now I have to take the consequences of telling him now even if he say's no! Guess it's better to start a marriage off on the right foot! Yes I said that, you guys are the first to know, and no, I don't know when, he is picking the date! I told him I wanted to go to the Hitching Post in ID, and keep it on the down low!! so.....shhhhhhhhhh no telln!! LOL!

oh he said it would be this year!!
