Talked to my dad, and he still has his equipment in the attic:
***Says it wasn't top of the line back then... purchased from Sears. Max 180 amp
***2- dark helmets (not light acetylene type) One cheaper version came with it. Another a welder friend gave to him. Not sure if they may be damaged after so many years in storage.
***Pretty sure the gloves may not be good anymore.
***Has an Apron... Not sure on condition.

What is your opinion?

I am SO SORRY to hear about your dog. I do know what you are going through and exactly how you feel. I though I was losing my dog of 13 years the week between Christmas and new years. I thought for sure I was going to have to put her down. I had tears in my eyes every day for a week. She is about 95% better now and I cherish every day I have with her now. we walk every day.

Mike sorry to hear about your beloved friend. I know how hard that is.

Weave yes sounds good. It doesn't have to be new fancy stuff as long as it works. My stick welder is a gas driven made in 1956 but it gets the job done. Gloves are no big deal they are only about $10 but I prabably have some spares. The hood is most important. I do have 2 hoods but due to bad experience and the price of my hoods I decided not to loan them anymore.

I would like to have nice new gloves anyway. Put my finger wrinkles in them. Do you know of a source where I might be able to find some smaller sizes. I wear a women's small or med in garden gloves, depending on the type.

I totally understand about the hoods. I will try to get more detail about the type and shade (???) of them when we locate them in the attic. It means sending my mom up there since both dad and I are not able to do that anymore. So I will give her time.

My mom does so much for the two of us already. She is such a good person.

It is supposed to be me doing for them, not this way round. That is one of the hardest parts of not being 100% for my age.

My mom says if it weren't me she was helping she would be doing it for somebody else. Probably true. She just doesn't like to sit still for too long.

OK Rob. I am so looking forward to this. Thank you for your generous nature. We will talk more after the party and firm up some dates that will work for you and Diane. By the way she is a very pretty woman. Such a kind face. I love her facebook picture. You look OK too..... For a guy. Can't wait to meet both of you.

Oh Mike. I am so sorry. Few things can compare to the lose of a loved one. And unfortunately our pets just don't usually outlive us. It doesn't make it any easier to know that they are elderly. I don't know if your dog is, but it doesn't really matter. Enjoy the time you have left, and make sure he is as happy and comfortable as possible. Give him all those treats that aren't good for him, but he loves.

I will definitely let you know on hatch rate. After hatching that Sebastopol in the Sportsman after the eggs being very cold in mid-development I think I could hatch rocks.

BTW, when are you planning to start incubating Donna?

well I DON'T like to Brag but I was a bit of a welder myself.

when I was a senior in high school I took a welding class . My very first weld I welded two pieces of angle iron together. The bead was almost perfect looking. My teacher said it was one of the best beads he had seen. I let the iron cool down. when I picked up the one piece of iron the other piece was still laying on the table

I transfered in wood shop the next day
