I know how finicky those things can be!
I would have to say that having nothing in there is working against you.
You need to put something in there to help stabilize the air. Kindda' like buying a new fridge, load it up to keep it cold.
I believe "I hope" that if you put in a Chuck steak or some eggs or a can of pop it might help you.

Hi,
I want to say thank to to Weavegarden, I saw on another site how to do it with the pictures now I hope I can just remember next time.
Eagle2026 the ones in the picture are gone but the ones upstairs are for hatching. I have a LG full and my husband is in the process of making me a big one now that I hope will have 4 shelfs, just waiting on the stuff on order. I'll show you all when its done. (said dont)

Now the process of integrating a new bird to the rest...

With my trade with Weavegarden, I will have the max for my coop. This should be fun!

Depending how things go with my court date on my "I'm a bad girl, I have a Roo and 4 too many hens" infraction, I may be able to offer you a laying hen. How do you feel about Black Australorps?

Weaveagarden: I have one BA right now... she is my adventurer/escapee, and the most aloof. With my new EE, and our trade I think my coop will be full.

If you need help holding on to your birds while things get sorted out, let me know. I bet we can work out something.

No, what I meant was that you may prefer an established layer instead of the White Rock for trade. But if you already have a BA, it may be important for you to mix it up a bit.

And thanks for the offer. I think I can hold on to them until my court date. After that, if I lose, I will hopefully have a plan in place. I am talking to the neighbor across the street about setting them up with 4 layers - Then they will be able to add 4 more later if they want to. He didn't say no. And he seemed interested in the possibility.
