Hey, Did everybody see those beautiful WHITE LEGHORNS in the Denny's commerical for the Superbowl

Do you know why they used Leghorns

Because Denny's DON"T serve BROWN eggs

(or green or blue) they Sever the BEAUTIFUL WHITE EGG

OK now don't anybody burst Ron's bubble by telling him that they used them white chickens cause they are just so common and easy to get. But It ain"t easy to get people to turn loose of beautiful brown layers.

I have toadmit that the last couple of days life has been really good for me. Yesterday the owner of a local small business called and told me that my (significant) bill had been taken care of. Then today while working on my banty coop. The neighbor was here and I said listen did ya hear that? Eagle in the distance. we looked up to see 8 bald eagles soaring above. We tend to see 1 or 2 but never that many at once. It was awesome. I finally got my banty coop done today and got the little ones transfered. Tonight when I went out to check on them it was so funny. The 2 OEGB and 1 Butter cup were at the top of the ramp going to the coop and the Silkie mom was trying to cover all 3. they were all scared to go in so I put them in and tucked em in. As soon as I can get pics of the coop/run I will post. I am rather proud of it since (again) I did it all with salvaged materials.

Sounds like spring is just around the corner.
Would like to see if they have any gamebirds at that chicken swap.

Good to hear that the BCM and Barnie eggs didn't turn into a big omelet.
How is it even possible that you take a flat rate box and stack it with a bunch of other square boxes and it gets damaged?
Maybe someone from the postoffice is on and could enlighten this for all of us?

And so it has begun. Looks like the neighbors are doing everything in their power to prevent my flock from staying here. I'm expecting the city to come by any day now. It looks like neighbors may have a case.

So Ive have BCM hatching since Sat. they didnt read the same book I did. They are so cute and all going to good homes.
Hate the FOG!!!

Being a School Bus driver its hard to see the kids and oh nothing like having a few horse's running on the road toward you to make your day..

Hubby is an angry man right now over the entire thing is getting an attorney to see where we stand. Hubby knows how much the flock means to me... the flock changed my life from one of depression and no motivation to a life of joy and meaning. He doesn't want anything interfering with that. I love my man.
