Easy there I didn't say nor intend to imply that 1) there was anything wrong with your suggestions 2) intend it to be taken that I am claiming to be "the resident professional". Sorry if I stepped on any sore toes.

Was I really that far out of line here? I thought I was just doing very similar to RedReiner. That would be offering my suggestions. I have been watching and am aware that Red Reiner has not been on here since this exchange. I felt that gave a clarification and apology. But aparently it wasn't good enough. Maybe some one can get her to come back now.
Sincerely Rob.

We have had this happen before, remember Rob?
Back around the time we were planning the potluck? and back not too long ago between Ron and I?
I think it needs to be understood by everyone, that it is hard to convey emotion, tone of voice, etc., via posts.
I think we all need to be take posts with the knowledge that everyone is posting with good, friendly intentions.
And if there is a true problem, it should be taken care of by PM, or over the phone, or in person when possible.
Don't you agree?
Hope I am npt steppingon any sore toes.

It really depends what it says on the back, and what the quality of the ceramic body is: there are plates like that which are Meissen and worth thousands, and plates like that which are low-fired Vietnamese junk which are worth as much as $10 apiece resale, in perfect condition, to the right sucker (although they're often priced well above that in home decor shops). If you ping the edge with your fingernail and get a high-pitched sustained note, grab them.

If there's a dull thunk, argue down the price.

Yeah, the "crowing=loneliness or boredom" thing definitely applies to Ian; he's quiet when I'm outside, even if I'm not doing anything near him. He and Bacchus set up a chorus if I can't get outside before 11am, and the last few weeks I have been dragging my butt/taking care of kittens/beset by emergency housecleaning in the mornings. On the other hand, the darned daycare still hasn't oiled their swingset, and somebody a bit further down the line had their swimmingpool filter go bad and make locomotive noises all day yesterday, so I'm hardly the noisiest person in the neighborhood.

I took the same class. And when I decided nursing wasn't for me after 6 weeks I felt like I was judged at first. Then I got over it and realized that it is a personal choice and NOBODY should make anyone feel guilty. I also think nursing mom's are judged for nursing in public, even when they are very discreet about it. So I agree with Ogress, enjoy and do what is right for you, and your baby will do just fine as long as you love her.

I agree 200%

I nursed both boys for a couple of months, but both of them wanted/needed more than my body was willing to produce, each of them would drink a full 12 ounce bottle of milk after they nursed, and sometimes most of a second one !

I stopped when they started biting ..... let those in Africa drink blood .... then they'd go through THREE 12 ounce bottles of formula

hungry kids ... both close to nine pounds when born, and they topped out at 6 ft and 6-2 as adults

My first son gained a pound a week for the first six weeks. It's a good thing I could supply it since he couldn't have formula.

Posting some eye candy & then off to get back to work~

I remember this conversation. I didnt feel that you were out of line, or rude. Maby RedReiner has just been busy. It is that time of year... Try not to over worry CR, I'll send her a PM and see how shes doing.

Ok quik update on RedReiner. She's been busy like everyone. Unfortunately she recently lost Hoss to a rather large coyote. So now she is on gaurd, and more than ready to thin the pack. Guess this pack of yotes wiped out a neighboring flock of chickens and turkeys. She is also getting ready for a horse show coming up in about a week I think is what she said. Its just the busy season for us horse folks
