Are those what I think they are? You tape them to your DH's head? Gotta see a picture of that!

yes, those are what you think they are, THOUGH I do cut them to fit whatever oozing substances need to be absorbed; often for a bash-scrape, the area is way too big for conventional bandaids, and gauze doesn't absorb nearly as well as the newfangled "it won't drip" personal products (which also seem to be more sanitary in their individual wrappers, than gauze in a pack or roll)

many EMTs actually carry sanitary napkins for use in those instances where they need to absorb a lot of "stuff" on the victims they are treating --- and they keep the Ace bandages from most contamination

OK, Buuuttt I just had this picture in my mind. LOL

OK, so I finally get on BYC and see that??
OK, going back to work~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Field medics carry tampons to stop bullet wounds from bleeding. Whatever woiks, y'know?

The weather radar fibs: it's still raining here, and I delayed getting laundry off the line, sheep in his pen, et'c and so on long enough that things were good and wet. I'magain reminded how very unpleasant tall wet grass can be. (although the sheep and chickens have gotten much of the worst of that taken care of).

Hi everyone
smile.png
home from work (yay!) and had to kick our wanna-be broody out of the nest and lock the coop. She didn't lay an egg today and has been sitting on nothing all day...sigh. I feel bad for her, but just don't trust her to sit the whole time. I hope she gets over it quickly...she's grumpy! (It's taken me over 20 minutes to write this because of going out to break up fights caused by Ms. Grumpy!)

I keep forgetting to tell you all - I went to the Seattle Co-op last week and got organic scratch & peck feed for a really good price. Two 40 lb bags of layer, one 20 lb bag of scratch, and a grow your own mealworm kit for less than $73. The mealworm kit is really cool and was only $10. Now my son can grow mealworms for the chickens!

Anyway - I had a good experience & thought I'd pass them along. The co-op has been an LLC but is getting ready to convert to a true co-op. They are open limited hours and located right behind the Krispy Kreme donuts by Qwest field. Here is their website: http://seattlefarmcoop.com/

Mine is running under the big leaf maple now. We had a little.

I had to water under the Ispahan rose; I'm going to need to do some pruning on it before fall, since in its current state it provides aid and comfort to the darned rabbits.

(They're not cute like everyone supposes).
