Beautiful roo, looks just like my "Gallo" when he was younger. Now he's even more handsome with his longer tail and saddle feathers

I'd take him off your hands if I had the space. At this point, though, there's no way. I have an order of chicks coming in a couple weeks and will be overrun! Some are straight run, too.

Whoever was looking for EE pullets, I'm getting some extra EE chicks with my order. Just a few, but if you want a couple, let me know. I'd raise them to 2 months old for you, if you want. I'm doing that for a friend of mine anyway, as some of the chicks will be for her and she doesn't want to brood them. Only problem is that I'm way down in Mossyrock, which is pretty far for most on here...

It was me and I will let ya know if I dont find any closer to me.

FYI Since I haven't heard I picked up a pack of 40 peel-n-stick name tags today.
Sorry Ron no GPS but a do have a chicken coop locator on board !!!!! Prepping the undercover trailer now !!! Do ya think we will need the long handled net too?

Good luck getting past the "poodles and parrots of death"

Besides my potluck dish, I can bring plastic cups (they're the big kind, left over from a kegger - sorry the beer is all gone!) and napkins and paper plates. I'll stick them in the car just in case.

Thought I would also put whatever eggs my Runners lay this week in the car as well, in case anyone has a broody bird or incubator and wants to try hatching a few of them (though of course my three eggs a day have mysteriously dwindled to one a day). If they do hatch they probably won't be official colors (except blue). My dark blue, almost black runner from Holderreads is the dad and the (possible) three moms are a Saxony Runner and a Blue heavily speckled white Runner from Holderreads and a little blue (less bottle shaped) from a hatchery. I haven't tried to hatch any here yet so can't vouch for viability.

RonB and Chicken Rustler - I'll have you know I almost fell for that address thing. But probably would have been okay because I seem to be bursting at the seams with chickens and ducks here anyway.

I would love to be there but have other commitments. How about a nice picnic down Oly way this summer? I have a huge back yard not full of chickens, right on the Deshutes river. I live in Rainier which is a bit south of Oly.

Hey, I'm headed over from Whidbey as well (I'm in Clinton). Would suggest carpooling except my daughter and her family are in Bothell and if they get wind of me being over will force me to visit afterwards and conduct myself like a doting Grandma. But hope I get to meet you there!

I was thinking that the gathering might be an opportunity to do some swaps as well (wouldn't be hot and sunny so little danger to the traveling birds), but maybe it would be too distracting from the 'getting to know you' purpose.

Just to let you all know, you can't have animals in the building, but if you want to leave them out in your vehicals, that would be Ok. The party starts at 12:30 ish and ends at 4:30. We have to have everything cleaned up and out of there by 5:30. Any volunteers to help with the clean up would be great! I have paper plates, cups, napkins, and a few serving utensils for those who forget to bring serving stuff. I also am bring ing water, and Ron is bringing some soda. I think I saw that Rob picked up some stick on name tags, so I won't get any of those. My husband is planning on bringing his good camera and taking photos, then I can email them out. I hope people can make it, I would hate to be the only one there!
