Great! I was hoping you might be able to fit seeing the show into your schedule! There probably aren't any bad seats but the best would be the main section, center, rather than the side seats. Arrive by 7 at the latest since it's a free preview folks will be jockeying for seats. I will be running around taking care of business but I will be looking for you and the girls before the show. Yay! I'm looking forward to seeing you guys there!

If I can get my truck working Id love to come and see it. So time will tell.

You went back early we start next Tue. It will be strange not having the young one's on my bus this year. Plus I dont like that I dont get to say good by to my kids from last year.

We started August 30th. I would prefer they go back to an after Labor Day start and get out near July. June is always so wet and cold it is miserable while August and September are usually beautiful. Makes summer break feel like even more of a rip-off when it is not timed properly.

Where my SIL teaches in Texas, they start early August but that makes sense - it is sunny all year and at least gets them some AC on the hottest days of the year.

I had a dream last night that I had iron chicken feet for my coops, like Baba Yaga's hut.

Hey I am 20 miles from the nearest town of (I think about) 6,000 But I am a go getter.

14 miles from the nearest town of 3,700. 74 miles from the second nearest town of under 20,000. 5 hours from Seattle, Olympia, etc.

There's also very few chicken owners out here, even fewer who keep their chickens for longer than 2 years and/or have more than 10 chickens. Even fewer who breed their own.

I've yet to see a Craigslist ad for anything remotely useful, cheap/free, and poultry related for less than a 3 hour drive.

Could have what's sometimes the worst of all possible worlds: a short 40 with subdivisions and apartments on most of the boundary, two miles from the nearest sushi restaurant, two and a half miles from I-5, and five miles from JBLM. Wasn't any of that stuff when we moved here.

Hi everyone!
I'm looking to add one or two young hens to my backyard flock.
They'll have a fine life here, I promise.
I'm just north of Seattle but willing to pick up from wherever.
Please PM me with details including cost.
Thanks,
Ruth
PS: Thanks to Hallerlake, for the Spitzhauben!
