Great! I was hoping you might be able to fit seeing the show into your schedule! There probably aren't any bad seats but the best would be the main section, center, rather than the side seats. Arrive by 7 at the latest since it's a free preview folks will be jockeying for seats. I will be running around taking care of business but I will be looking for you and the girls before the show. Yay! I'm looking forward to seeing you guys there!

If I can get my truck working Id love to come and see it. So time will tell.

That would be great! I hope you get your truck working, whether you make it to the show or not! I do think any of you able to make it would really enjoy this show. I don't think the title begins to suggest just how much fun, (and a little naughty) that this show is. I am more pleased with it than I had anticipated when I first read the script.
It will make you laugh, it will make you cry, etc. Really some very funny moments and some that are very poignant. Something for everyone to relate to!

wish we could come, but it's not a good idea for DH to drive after dark, and as you know I have "issues" and have trouble sitting up for lengthy periods

DH was asking me this morning if there was any more news on the chickie front ....

he swings between "they're YOUR *** chickens" and "let me tell you about something cute they did" ...

he normally opens up the coop in the morning, since he's a LARK and I'm an OWL, replenishes the feeder and waterer if they need anything, and often helps me herd them over to the tractor

right now the grass is so dry, there's not much for them to eat within the confines of the tractor, so I've been closely supervising some free-ranging, until the clover grows back after DS came home on "4-hour furlough" and mowed everything down for us

Broody update - all 6 chicks are thriving and well with Whitey, the "Mama" hen. She kept them cozy and warm last night which is good because I thought it was really COLD last night! Can't believe how our temps are dropping already.

This morning I went to check on our little family. She had gotten up off of the nest to show the chicks where the food and water is and they were happily peeping as she clucked and fussed over them. After a few minutes feasting they all scrambled back underneath her. It appears she's lost interest in that last egg in her nest though.

Pretty normal stuff for some of you I guess, but I still think it's amazing!

I just put my Wheaten Am cockerel up on Craig's list.
He is chasing my BR off from food and water.
I don't know why he has taken a dislike to her but he has.
I wanted to let them work it out but it doesn't really look like it will anytime soon.
I sat out there this morning to watch for awhile and she wasn't able to eat or drink.
And she stayed by me most of the time.
If anyone is interested here on BYC he would be free. I got him from CL's Wheaten/Blue Wheaten hatch this spring.
I really wanted to keep him, he is gorgeous, nice/respectful to people, and nice to all the other hens/pullets.
But I can't put up with him stressing out one of my favorites.

PM me if interested.

This has not been the greatest year for me and my chickens.

When I was preggers with Chloe, I had no clue until the secon trimester... So maby this is normal, I just dont know.
