My daughter tried that did not help her at all so carson is bottle fed formula. One of these days I want to post a picture of him he is the 1st boy in our family.

My first son gained a pound a week for the first six weeks. The pediatrician complained he was too fat until he found out I was breast feeding. I think my son might have been a comfort nurser, too. After the first few days, I had plenty. He was a butterball.

Ok so I want a new kitchen table, but dont have money.
My question the one I have I like the style can I just sand it and paint it?

Ok so it has a coating on the top shinny and part of it has eaten away thats why I dont like it. I hate the chairs but oh well think I'll paint them and cover with some material to change the look.

What kind of paint would I get for it? I dont want to as hubby he'll just give me that look.

Ive lived in this house for over 10 years now and have all my moms stuff in it. Have had a hard time letting it go. But I want it to look my way so Im slowing changing it to be me... Its hard I have her rosewood buffet and I hate the silver around it so I d like to pull it off and make it more my style too.

Ive been thinking about doing this for awhile while my hubby was gone hunting but now he's staying home becasue of my job.

Thanks for letting me vent...

If the buffet is a nice older piece, see what you can do about selling it and getting one you like, or trading with someone- refinishing kills any antique value it might have or eventually gain. On the other hand, if it's a mass production piece from the eighties, say, go for it: just go to a paint store or the paint department at HD or Lowes and ask for advice on finishes. Don't ask me, my idea of a real good time is pigmenting Howard Citrus Shield (carnauba wax) and doing a couple of dozen coats rubbed down hard.

Wooden kitchen tables can be stripped (there's orange-based chemical strippers that are kinder on wood and time than just sanding), sanded, and repainted with almost anything, but my preference is to use a polyurethane based exterior grade paint for durability's sake. Oil paint is better for the wood, but one of the ways to make it rain in September is painting furniture with oil-based paint: it will be sticky forever.

Painting chairs is an annoying process, have you thought of making full-chair slipcovers instead of just chair pads? I've seen some made out of dishtowels (IKEA or Ross for the cheapest prices) and they have the enormous advantage of being washable as well as cheap.

I lost a good laying pullet this morning.

He woke us up with his crowing.

Anyone want a white leghorn (we assume) rooster? He came with the CornishX pullets, but he was way too small to send to freezer camp.

He is 13 weeks old, he seemed to be at the top of the pecking order, now I know that it is because he is a he. Anyway, we are not allowed to have roosters, so if someone on here does not want him, he is going to Avenue Feed.

I guess no one else was amused by the MILF typo.

One of my chicken books mentioned crows as a potential predator. Huh? We have tons of crows here. It should be the city bird.

Does that mean my chickens need to be full grown before going into an uncovered run?

Aww, thank you T-hi! I am SO glad you were able to make it the other night. I am pleased to tell you that was one of the best preview nights I've ever been involved in due to the great energy from the cast and a FANTASTIC audience! So thank you for making preview such a success.

We officially opened last evening. Again, more great work from all involved. Alec Clayton from the Tacoma News Tribune was there to review the show and it should be in the paper next week. We are very fortunate to have had him there since the Tribune is only allowing him one review a month now and our production was chosen.

I'm happy to hear you'd like to see the show again - so let me make this suggestion. If it fits in your schedule, plan on attending on Thursday, September 8th because it's "Pay What You Can Night." Meaning, you literally pay what you can. Typically, most of us pay about $5 per person that night, a substantial savings over the normal $16.50 - $26.50. Musicals are typically more expensive for a theater to produce due to the costs associated with using scripts and the score. We have to pay for the rights to the playwright's script and composer's score for every performance. Sometimes that can make it tough to fit into the average family's budget. (This is why I volunteer as an usher at every production I want to see locally and am not a part of - that way I get to see the show for FREE.) Volunteering is a good thing.

I hope you do get a chance to see the show again. It's different every night, as every evening I'm vetting 4 audience members to be our volunteer spellers for the first act. We never know exactly what's going to happen!

Thanks for the kind words and compliments. It's a pleasure to be associated with this show. And thank you for coming to preview!

We turn our chicks out of the grow out pens into the yard at about 8-10 weeks old (depending on weather) and the crows haven't been a problem. The hawks are the biggie round here, so sometimes we hold them in longer. The crows are egg thieves! Having said that, they do warn about hawks, and will even try and drive them off, so I don't mind if they find a stray egg once in a while (some of the young pullets don't always find the nest-boxes when they first start to lay
