I did sleep well, but sorry if that was your night! I would get a seperate room - but it's hard enough to sleep w/o that kind of noise! (Insomnia sucks!)
Some good news on the chick front - I could not figure out which chick was the "weak" one this morning - so it must be doing better
I am going to go crazy here at work today! I want to be home checking on them every hour!
And here are some fun pics to start your day
Messy Faces! from yesterday's rainy day and playing under the porch (currently under construction so lots of bugs!)

Cute! Glad the little chick is doing better. Loved seeing the pics you've posted.
I just went out to say good morning to the chicks and big girls and noticed the Faverolles were looking a little less than fresh. Those beards are pretty when they're clean but scraggly when they get wet.
Also noticed something odd on one of the Faverolles backs just above her tail feathers when I petted her. Dry, hard, crusty feathers - I started to worry, then realized it's more than likely that someone pooped on her last night when she was on the lower roost. Nice. And I touched it. Trying to figure if a hen bath fits into my schedule today.
Miss Whitey Ford was waiting at the door of the mini coop this morning so I decided to let her and the chicks out to free range with everyone this morning. The chicks are 3 weeks old tomorrow and I know she's watchful of them, but they're still so little. They're having a hay day while she teaches them how to look for stuff in the wet ground though. Looked like they were having a lot of fun. So what is the origin of the phrase "hay day"?
