Hopefully that will last a bit longer ... Normally I go about 2.5 weeks between tanks, but now that I am attending classes again, I'm tanking every 5 - 7 days

.... and gas station owners are crooks to still be charging extremely high rates!
When I moved to WA in January '93, gas was 97 cents per gallon - I could fill the same tank for under $20.

It was 99 cents in '99 at a few Arco stations but was changing, I was driving from Roy to White Center (Seattle) to visit my boy friend/fieance(sp).

Sorry for the stomach issues. I too wake up at 1am with a heartburn pain at the top of my stomach. I don't normally get that like that. I was able to just go back to sleep after half an hr & all calmed down. I'm on antibotics for sinus & ears but for some reason my chest is starting to feel heavy & feel like water went into my lungs. Last Sunday I sipped some water & it went the wrong way, I thought I had coughed it all out. Maybe I didn't & the meds are working? Has me a little concerned but hubby says to stop worrying, I'm a worrier.

Where is it raining today? I looked on doppler & there is nothing. I checked on the wide WA map too, nothing. I don't like the heat so I'll take the rain. Although my daughter & I are going for a walk today, so bored being in house lock down cause she has Strep Throat. I want to get back to working & be able to to go to the store etc. Monday we get back to normal dr says.

I do not know if we are going out fishing or not, in this drizzly rain.
If it is drizzling inland (here) then for sure it will be miserable out in the Bay.
So we will see...I think it is time for the Silvers to start running.
There has been alot caught out in the Ocean, and Everett is hosting it's Coho Contest this weekend, I think...they are so totally different fish to rig & bait for than the Blackmouths are, diferent lures, diferent boat/troll speed/liking diferent colors, it is weird.
You would think salmon are salmon, but each is diferent & prefers diferent baits & colors.
Guess that is how each version co-exists in the wilds by eating a diferent bait.
OK, have fun today.

ALSO wanted to say thanks for the nice card to PPP:::::::::
Forgot to tell you!
I have the nice card sitting here, so cute with the kitties on it.
Thanks Shannon!!!
Glad your kitties loved the cat nip!
Will probably have a bigger mess of it next season!

Yesterday we got the floor underlayment done, holes puttied up & all is tarped, a BIG TARP!!!

Then I hauled another trailer load of summer compost & hand tilled it in another 6 foot wide X 25 feet long garden bed, all is ready for winter vegies now~
So far:
Cabbage, broccoli, brussels spouts (2 feet tall already)
Spinach
and next is Flashy Tout's Back (alias strawberry cabbage lettuce)
and radishes (up an ince now, the last harvest in the fridge)

OK, bye guys!

it's been foggy all morning so far here, but just started to clear, plus a few raindrops hitting the skylight (may be condensation off the oak tree instead of rain, can't really tell, everything is damp

miserable enough that the chickens didn't pile out of the coop, as they usually do when we open their door

would be a good day to scoop the coop; it's cooler and moist, which should mean less dusty material as I scoop the poo out of the sand; time to put another bagful in there too I think, and DE down first ...

but may save the energy I have, to go to Ogress' Oktoberfest .. we might, we might not .. too bad no one in our area is going so we could carpool

Rain???? It's about 80 here, not a cloud in sight and did not cool down much at night.

Foggy here, already about 70F and clearing up; the satellite says the band of rain shifted a little landward in the night but experience says as the ground heats up it'll be pushed back out to sea. I hope, at least, since I just put the mattress pad in to wash.

*sigh*

There are moments I'd like to turn one of my photography teachers loose on the denisons of the "What Breed or Gender is this?" thread. Because some photos you can barely see it's a chicken at all (a memorable one had a sort of vortex effect); a thumbnail recently was identified as arguably either an Ancona or a Silver Spangled Hamburg which: black mottled white, silver spangled with black? Is this opposites day? And today there's a set that's "shot through linoleum," a la Gloria Swanson.

I constantly read that the digital camera has made everyone a photographer. Ha ha, ha ha.

The worst night of this whatever-it-is-gallopping-hootenglutis was typified by leg cramps, vertigo, and stomach misery, so it may be part of this year's Back to School Virus (my term, not an official one, but it does seem to be a predictable public health reality).

yeah, I've been nauseated and dizzy for about four days, which may mean that I'm the one that gave it to you, not vice versa
