I see you have dark Cornish - do you breed, sell eggs etc? I bought some WLR but they are hatchery birds and not at all what I was hoping they'd be. Nothing like a real Cornish, well, maybe just a tiny bit! I was hoping to do some meat projects with Cornish/Sussex crosses, but need a good Cornish to start with. Would you have any next spring, you think maybe? (keeping fingers and toes crossed)

Got the Welsh Harlequins yesterday!

They are really nice - after the first frantic race around the pasture, they settled down on the pond. I removed the second drake so there was only one out there. This morning I noticed that he is already covering the ladies. Such a good boy

Hope the weather is nice tomorrow to take some pics.

Hmm, what to do with the other boy - wonder what they taste like?

It is a good possibility..........I am also going to put a Cornish Cockeral over a Buckeye hen for a few weeks, and hatch those eggs to see what we get as far a meat birds...Buckeyes cannot be beat.
Neither can Cornish..both are so very broad & meaty.
Look me up in the spring.

A fart egg is the first few eggs a pullet lays, some have no yolk, and some can be really strange shapes.
I have seen curved ones, almost like a cresent moom, and some long & skinny like a bullet.
Maybe search "fart eggs" in the BYC search engine & see what you can see.
Some pullets have no sense of humor and lay a beautiful egg their very first time.
