I have to ask, what are their requirements in such a cool, rainy climate as this? I've always wanted to add a rare, spectacular Pheasant program to my collection, especially Impeyans but I figured they'd be very cold/cool/rain intolerant?

They are the National Bird of Napal!
They prefer to be cold. That is why they do so good over here.
The requirements are a large area, 15'x15' min they are diggers but like to nest high. so your box has to be off the ground.
Dirty sandy soil w/ straw mixed in seems to be what works good for me.
Mine are also in an area that is alittle smaller that I quoted ya, so they can make it. More is better ofcourse.
They are pretty darn quiet, the hen squaks every once in a couple weeks. Don't eat much, Matter of fact they don't do much either.
Just plane birds that are pretty to look @!!!

The Farm store was doing all the hatching for me this last goaround, so I just went and cut fire wood, worked when it was avail. and had little Max keepin' me busy.
Not much has changed around here ooh, except some just came over and bought every chicken I had.
This is new, no chickens for the CHICKEN RUSTLER to rustle!

OMG, you must be exhausted, how many did you bathe??????
See you tomorrow!

That was a tough check in- took about 3 hours to get our birds caged- lots of mix ups since the club has changed its barn arrangement. I honestly don't even know how many I brought- quite a few less than I entered- I just got tired of bathing!

I dunno, but I'm pretty sure chickens don't actually care about luxury, as such.
