A nice color, but the 2 Guineas that were there were like bantam fowl, so small, about the size of my 3 mo old keets!

Some birds do not have the "show presence",
The first Serema cock has great show presence!

Other than that, nada.
Zip.
Not anything spectacular.

when were you there?
I just got home a few hours ago, musta missed you again!
And yes, once again it was a great disapointment.
There was only 1 American class bird, and to my surprise, a mottled Java hen, which was almosy completely black and only had a few white spangles on SOME of her feather ends.
She did not apear to me to have yellow soles either, but being the only entry, she will at least get BB, BV.
There were Black Australorps...no other Americans.
No RIR, No Buckeye, NO java, no NH, NO Dellies, none.
Lotsa bantams, in every breed, and lotsa ducks, but hey, this is so close to Oregon.

Now I wish I had entered my little mottled Java hen. It sounds like she could have won.

Hi

Robin suggested I come over and join in, I am usually on the Icelandic thread,

I am north of Cusick, closer to Ione, have Icelandics, and considering a couple other breeds in the spring,

anyone else from Eastern Wa here?

Okay you guys are a really bad influence. I just pull out and set up the incubator.

I can't resist checking out the current eggs. Since Homer was caught doing the dirty deed with the girls, I may as well see if something will hatch. If anything hatches they will be EE's, but it sounds like I can get homes for anything that I can get hatched. It's kind of a shame that he couldn't have started doing his duty sooner this year. My little white fizzle was broody all summer. She finally gave up being broody a couple of weeks ago. She was broody for well over 3 months. But know none of my girls are broody.

Welcome to the thread. We are a very chatty group here. There are a number of members that are in Eastern WA. To name a few; 4cats3kids1hubby2many, and Rare Feathers. They are in the Omak area. I also seem to think that Ultasol is in SE WA. Of course there is always Teri, and Jen aka pips&peeps in the Spokane area. There are many others, but those are the ones that post most often.

And if I forgot anyone, I am deeply apologetic.

Illia you did not miss anything again....waite for Chehalis & then go show..it will be much better.
Monroe is awesome, too.

Maybe you can meet up with me & catch a ride to Monroe, and I will have a few crates, but I do have the backseat in my van now, and behind there room for lotsa crates..

and I bought a white silkie pullet today from Sheryl......who always seems to have 100 birds to sell.
I am also getting very partial to Seremas....especially DH, and especially after we go to the feed store.

I am loving the Seramas more and more every day. their personality is great.
