Heck, yeah! It startled the heck out of them.

I've also been known to start singing the blues.....loudly. Also startling.

Oh she had me laughing so hard woth her reaction! She quit screaming, put the spoon away, looked at me puzzled, then ran to her room. Then came back out and said "I', sorry momma." Was very cute!

Oh and we went into poulsbo earlier today, and stopped in at the thrift store my sister runs on Sunday. theres this 5' holloween decoration that is motion activated... Chloe walked by it, it turned on, and she jumped sideways about 3 feet! lol Scared her pretty good.

Whats even better, or worse depending on how you look at it. Is doing those things to a tantum throwing kid in say Wallmart! Especially when it isnt your kid! ive gotten some funny looks, and even quite a few thank you's from embarassed parents! Kids never expect a stranger to mock/mimic them throwing a tantrum!

But I supose if I do that frequently enough. I will eventually run into a not so understanding parent and get my booty chewed out!

I meant where you said on your Mom's property you can hear it under the soil...noy uphill at the source that is now dry.
Our spring behind our cabin is dry too...usually has lots flowing...but, it is just running low with less water, and still runs underground in a few places.

Oh ok! lol silly me, thought you meant to go dig on our neighbors property! lol Stupid baby brain and horemones! lol I'll have to ask and see what moms other half has to say about a hole being dug in his field. lol He is very protective!

I do know that when you poke a stake in the ground, there is only resistance for the first 16" after that its super soft, and sinks very easily into the ground.

I know my mothers property used to be a revine. Back in "I want to say the 50's or so" the ravine was filled in with large cedar stumps, other woodland debre, rock and dirt... You can see spots in the field that are slowly settleing and creating low spots where water pools up to 8" deep.

Well there you go.
Chances are that the spring used to perk up up the hill & run down through the now covered ravine..........same thing here.

So I didn't get eaten or stolen, and I now have a big upgraded filter for the Aquarium. I also didn't see any peacocks on Peacock Hill. I now need to catch up on 14 pages.

Geeze, you know a great horned owl could have flew off with that guard dog!!!!!!!!!!
This time of year, there is alot of migrating fowl besides waterfowl.
Almost all songbirds & falcons and hawks & owls migrate somewhere other than the cold north.
All but the Snowy Owl.
So he may juat have stopped to rest and get some fast food & is in SoCal by now...let's hope!
