Blacktail, YOU have Muley.

And I still beg to differ, I believe they are the same animal only smaller!! I was talking to a fish and game guy and he basically eluded to the same thing, for some reason because of the Cascades, the deer on the west side are Black tail, and the deer on the east are Mulies?? From what I've read, they are infact the same.

Different geographic subspecies, and occassionally classified as different species. Blacktails have bigger tails with a black upper surface; Mulies have narrower, shorter tails (Dad called them "bobtailed deer"), and are shorter legged and heavier. The National Audubon Society Field Guide to Mammals I've got now doesn't even label them as different subspecies. Huh. When I was working next door to the Game Department Nongame Species program back in the olden days, they were talking about reclassifying them as two species. A lot of those distinctions have fallen to DNA studies, though.

Well I am a few steps further on getting the garden window put back together. I have been working on this for nearly a week now.

I had to pull plants out of the garden window in order to catch the hummingbird, and as long as some of the plants are out I may as well clean it out. I needed to wash inside of the window anyways. I have gotten the window clean inside and out. But there isn't any point in putting the succulents back in, when they desperately need to be re-potted. To do this I needed to get some pots for them. I also needed to make some custom sandy soil for them. I now have the pots and the soil, but just don't have the energy to get it done tonight.

I should have gotten the filter set up for the aquarium today also. I had to have my glass people make me another set of tops for the tank. I need the glass top to be 2 inches narrower, so that the filter can hang on the side.

I finally got the potatoes dug up tonight. There were more purple potatoes than I thought there would be, but less potatoes than I thought there should be. I don't know why I can't seem to grow potatoes well. I did get the white kind of potatoes in kind of late, but the purple potatoes were volunteers.

I also got my glasses back.

The nasty little dog loves my glasses. She chewed them beyond use the last time. I haven't had glasses with a current prescription for more than a month. The lens ended up casting more than 500.00. I just may have to sell that nasty little dog.

CGG - It is so good to see you posting on here again. One of these days when you have some time I'm just going to grab a bottle of something and come out to pour you a glass and visit. Maybe I'll have one of our other BYCer's ride along with me!

Yup: entirely consistent with standard English orthography.

Plain vanilla English word.

mmm == couldn't let that get by Ms. Smartypants

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phoneme

cause it's originally Greek ...

I didn't get a BS in Audiology for nuttin' ....

Yup, and English words with Greek roots (telephone, photograph, et'c and so on) have Ph pronounced as "F" but the vowel sounds pronounced according to English rules: vowel+single consonent+e = long vowel sound. I didn't need to take anthropological linguistics to learn that one, it was in the spelling rules in, what, fourth grade? At least it was in Mrs. Raab's class.

For some reason I don't drink much these days. I just think about it like I did. I always thought this would happen. It blows the thought that I had a problem.

I'll admit, I'm quite down and depressed right now.

The heater I have for my greenhouse is said to not be used in humid areas, well, it's a humid area but I'll try, it's all I got. . . . Tried it tonight, left it be for a couple hours, came back - Wasn't on, and the surge protector wasn't on either. I'm thinking it failed or something? Well, I turned it on again, and it seems nothing is happening, so I touch the heater just to make sure it's at least warming up - And it shocks me!

So I turned it all off, and, looks like my greenhouse is just simply going to get COLD tonight. I hope my Bananas make it!

I can't seem to find anything online about how to deal with this besides buying yet another heater, one made for greenhouses. Problem is, I can't find any that seem to heat a large enough space that aren't in the triple digits price. And if I buy two I'm afraid the outlet won't handle it. 100 feet of extension cord, then a surge protector, then TWO heaters.
