Speaking of idiot hunters....DH's great uncle (who was a WWII vet) was elk hunting in the 70s....sat down on a log in a clearing to have a smoke and was shot right between the eyes by another hunter. The other guy said he thought it was an elk?!? I see a lot of elk dressed like 45 year old human men, sitting on logs, smoking a cigarette in a meadow, after all!

I think $400-$500 or so....depending on where it's from. That includes the kill fee, too. We just got 1/2 a beef and a whole pig, too.

Thank God we paid for it last year!
