Well, the roof on the Hamburg run is now draining almost entirely to the outside- the exception being right inside the door, and that's going to take some kind of rigid roof and gutter.

I should not be online, I'm an hour late for lunch and prone, in such circumstances, to say things which get me in trouble.

I'm so sorry you hurt, but had to smile when I saw your post because . . .

. . . Hubby was skydiving (has over 400 jumps) - broke his ankle, but not from the landing. He was walking back to do another jump and fell in a hole!

6th of dec? that is a Tuesday? I can participate if it is on Saturday.

Oops, sorry. It IS on Saturday. I'm going to blame CR for getting me confused after he accused CL of being confused. Get it? (Okay, I know I can't rightfully blame anyone else for my confusion. I'm over 50. Just CSR.)

LOL...I blame it cuz I have teenagers and I am old.

ok, it's 4:13 pm on a nasty Saturday night in WA (for some anyway). The birds, ducks bunnies and other critters are in bed.

So, what has everyone planned for the rest of the evening - dinner (home grown?) evening out? Movie? Throttling the neighbours who have naughty dogs, resting legs, bubble baths . . . What y'all up to? (ooh, that's bad, I never thought I'd say "y'all" being British).

I just poured a glass of wine; a bit early but it's 5:00pm somewhere, right? I'm going to make some fine lamb chops for "Most Glorious Spousal Unit" when he comes up from the studio. Huddle by the fire with my one and only . . .

Well I will try not to come across as too harsh. But you are that birds flock and to send it to a new family will be very traumatic. I know they can be annoying at times just like kids. It's kind of like would you just send Chloe off with strangers (seriously). They may (any) be called pets but they are really dependent family members who we each commited to when we took them home.

PETS ARE FOR EVER !!!

Cheryl I hope I didn't hurt any feelings as that is not my intention but people getting rid of pets is a one of my hot topics.

Oh I wouldnt actually get rid of him... I have a bigger resposibility to this bird than a normal pet. At least thats how I feel, as I breed and hand raised this bird 6 years ago. He's my last tiel baby... But the constant screaming on a morning that is ot being nice to me... lol Im just fed up is all.

No worries, you didnt hurt my feelings. And I feel the same about pets, once you take them in, they stay. I have never gotten rid of a pet/family member.

BTW I have a very good understanding of the noise. See I have a tiel. I have had several other birds over the years.

Well, I've got one more piece of chicken-habitat winterization upgraded, and one less piece of movie-theater discarded advertising banners cluttering up the place: the young wyandottes are no longer bothered by the eddy of wind off the barn roof, which blows from the north when the south wind is over 25mph: they are, however, urging people to buy movie passes as holiday gifts! Now all I have to do is change into dry clothing and go off to buy groceries, chick feed, and little bungie cords

I should just subscribe to little bungie cords, have a few dozen of them delivered once a week.

She had mentioned sometime in the past couple of weeks that we should be planning for potluck at the show in Chehalis on December 6th. I think a lot of us are going to bring something like we did for Monroe. CL's in pain but she's not that confused.

Man! I wish I could go to the show!! Every year DH's grandparents have us over for gingerbread making and decorating.(for the kids) Lol! We adults just help and eat, drink and be merry! It's fun, but I wish I could come to the show too!
