I have 3 coops out free ranging, but Jack is right in the middle of them, even still, I have to go out & see what's going on out there.
I love the flock gardian in Jack.
I can watch him out the front window, and if I see his nose hit the air, he is catching a scaent of something, or see him watching the sky, he may see a hawk that I cannot see here indoors.
Yes he watches the sky too!
He is a good dog!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure about my dog. He's intensely interested in the chickens and will run around their coop excitedly. But he's a herding dog. We took a couple of herding classes when he was young. He's never tried to kill anything. So i don't know what he would do given the opportunity.
