Sorry about your loss !!! It is sad, especially when its from your FIRST little flock

Ugh, just had an argument with DH about this. We still don't know if our dog is capable of this, but it's possible. And rather than just accept that he could look out and see if the coop is shut, or ask me before letting the dog out, DH is being really obnoxious about it. He doesn't give a $&@# about the chickens or this happening, and it's just too much effort for him to make sure not to let the dog out. I apparently need to give him a report ASAP after he gets home. Never mind that I was very sick yesterday.

*grumble*

CL, my mom had to use this machine immediately after her surgery. She started at two hours a day, an hour in the morning and an hour later in the day. I think she got up to 6-8 hrs a day. It was a crucial part of her PT. She used it for months. Keeping that knee bending repetitively is key!

If you don't have a viable ligament, they sometimes get them from corpses, if the tissue is a match. I've heard that in some countries, (don't think they do it here) they can use pig tissue, which is very similar to human. But Since I haven't "been there, done that, got the T shirt", I cannot verify!

I was referring to the video, in the video they do not go into detail of where the graft comes from.
I know where it comes from:
1) Patella ligament (knee cap to shin)
2) achilles (mine are diseased)
3) hamstring...
4) and last resort, is cadaver tissue due to rejection issues.

In the video they magically 'have' a ligament is what I was getting at.
So this 'surgery' is actually 2 surgeries is what I am saying.
Ouch.

Oh nobody needs to tell me to exercise!
I am already doing too much!

But I do understand..and in the case of knee ligament replacement, you are put on the machine & it goes 24/7//
THEN you go to a PT & have to walk the walk, do TENS stimulation, play with the ball & ride a stationary bike for years.............

I HATE being disabled!!!!!
