I am looking for some true Ameraucana eggs or started pullets. I already have an email into Royce and Jean, but just thought I'd ask if anyone else here has either available? I live in Monroe, and done't want to travel tooooo far, so let me know what you got. Ideally I'd love some from a blue/splash pen, or lavender's, but am open to almost anything except white. Oh, and I'd need to get them this week if it's eggs as I have two other orders coming in this week and would love for them to all go in about the same time.
Thanks!
PS: I have a really nice Welsummer cockeral to offer up in partial trade if anyone is interested in him....posted about him a few pages back. His line is Whitmore Farms according to JamesA where I got the hatching eggs. Here's a link to the post: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=3960543#p3960543
Well I just have the Little Giant. If I had the big bucks I'd get something nicer though. It does the job, but is nothing fancy. If you get an LG, get the fan attachment and I highly recommend the egg turner also.
Zgoatlady, congrats on the new coop!!! I keep begging my DH to get the new shed, one big enough to house goats on one end and a couple breeding pens on the other.....probably won't be this year though unless I am really lucky!!!
Okay so My Darling Husband being so Awesome has agreed to let me purchase a good incubator, ya what do you guys reccomend?
We just got ours a couple months ago, so we've only had one hatch. We have a Brinsea Octagon 20 Eco with auto turn cradle.
The advance looks really nice, if he doesn't care what you're spending..
It's small enough to fit on an end table too, if you're cramped for space like we are, although I don't think I would use it as a hatcher for any more than 12 at a time.
I will be bringing lots of started chicks to the show in Stevenson this weekend. I have some chicks that are about a month old and have some that are hatching as we speak.

They are not related, but they hatched in the same bator!
- She told me she had a lot of wheaten/blue wheaten and her one Black Copper was because she had so many orders filled for BC hatching eggs, so she had two left that she decided to throw in. . . One hatched. Mine.
Sorry,
I have not been on in awhile but I have created a mutant and I wanted to share with everyone.
After all is said and done if I could get some opinions it would really help to see if this is good or bad by the standards. My standards too.
What we have here is a fully feathered shanked Barnevelder ( Cock ) off of a French Standard Black Copper Maran with a dark #8 egg.
Would anybody like to comment on this?
Pixs coming soon!!!
Mike
