Ogress,CR, and I know some others who sell on here.................

OGRESS, Next year look into selling at Monroe Fairgrounds Christmas Bazaar. It was held on the first weekend of December.
We went there and they had good traffic as well as placement of the booths were pretty good for everyone.

Another example is a place like CC's Expresso in Duvall which sells many artists creations.
I bet if you started looking around your area opening your eyes to possibilities you'll find them. The word NO never hurt anyone. Not asking has hurt plenty they just never knew how bad they hurt because they never explored the opportunity available.

CR I could see your bells hanging from front entrance and your other items.
You could put tags with price, website, contact, etc, on them wrapped in that plastic stuff can't remember the name so your info tag stays good in moisture.
You could in a big place like CC's hang some from inside also.

Ogress you could have some items on the counters inside or a stand up presentation box for yours.

Try Expresso stands. Make a deal with owner. It's a win win for both of you.

Ogress the road coming to the round about at Fall city from Snoqualmie has excellent selling areas.

Another one I have observed more over the years is between Duvall and Monroe.
Excellent LARGE places for people to pull over where I have seen people sell everything from bird houses to plants.
This time of year that road gets a lot of traffic.

The key to this is marketing.

Build simple EASY to READ signs stating what you are selling and place them FAR down the road like a minimum 1/2 mile so people have time to think about buying your product and pull over.

It never fails to amaze me the idiots who lose so many sales on that road cause their signs are 50 feet from where you pull off.
They aren't giving the people enough time to think about buying from them let alone safely getting off the highway.

These spots are excellent because you can safely get off and back on but you need to know you are going to instead of all of a sudden there is a sign and you have 20 seconds to make a decision.
BEYOND STUPID!

Ogress. Forgot this part which when I drive by road side sales I find if I have an idea of price range it entices me to stop more then just a truck with bird houses on it with no idea of starting costs. More info better chance to sell. First you got to get them in front of you.

Entice them to stop and then they might consider spending more then they anticipated due to your value provided.

To entice people to stop is have seperate sign stating $2.00 and up.
What ever is your cheapest item start there.
What this does is give the people an idea there is something worth checking out that is in their price range.

Love those little guys. If DH was ever to really want to involve himself with chickens I'm pretty sure he would choose these. What pretty Serama pairs you have!

CL, would you like me to save a bag of the best colors the next time my herding trainer shears? She has hair, wool and mixed sheep. It would be free!

Oh my gosh - I completely forgot about the three tiered flight cages that I had for my cockatiels and which also used to house my doves. DH could keep a couple of pairs in those AND they could even be in the house! Holy Criminy these are dangerous thoughts...

Sadie, They have to be from the BCM. The Golden Cuckoo I had were not that dark and crossed with the Sussex would lighten them even more.

Thanks CCG! So consensus says the BCM. She got a little leftover apple crisp this morning. Well her and the Faverolles, and everyone else... Who doesn't love a good, warm crisp oatmeal topping on a freezy winter's day?
