NO you did post about the chebby land yacht. I think it is like a pink impalla about 80's vintage.

Oh THAT...that is the Ratmobile!!!!
And it ain't pink, it is baby s*** brown (says DH)
I call it puce, some say tan...used to have a landeau (sp?) top but got rattle canned white.
Has an AWESOME inny-type glass window ($$$$$)
Pulls all the boats outta the water like no body's business, has a beefed 400 cu & sounds DREAMY just idling...a REAL motor you do not hear too much anymore.

Love the car, hate the meeces.........they can just run out from under the seats at anytime.
I told DH to set off a smoke bomb in it every so often to get all the meece out!!!!

Scarey looking, huh?????

Good idea, I would prefer someone placing hives. Although honey bees and having my own honey is something I've always wanted to do, there is the expense of getting set up and taking the time to learn about doing yet another thing. Maybe someday but for now mostly interested in pollination.

Do you know much about Masons? Is there a time of year to purchase them? I know you have to provide blocks of wood with the nest holes and you can purchase the inserts with or with out bees?

I don't recall the river ever flooding up in this area. Kent Valley would be another issue. We are very high up here on the Plateau. what we do have problems with is high ground water. The water tends it sit on the surface, if it rains too much.

There are a few places up in the Bonney Lake are that are not very cool, but the rest of the area is very safe. There can be problems in the Muckleshoot Reservation area of Auburn also.

The area is for the most part very conservative compared to the rest of King County. The other problem is transportation. The buses do not run at night. Black Diamond and Enumclaw are a very long ways from anything. If you need anything but the basics, then you either need to go to Bonney Lake or Kent. All the roads in and out of the area are two lane highways, with fairly high speeds, unless you get behind a slow poke.

There is very limited passing zones besides.

After nearly 20 years, I can say that I regret having chosen to buy a home out here.

The winds have not been bad for the past 6 of 7 years. The big winds hit us right after they logged up in the Chinook Pass area in 1982. The area took 120mph winds that winter. The last big blow was Dec of 2004. We lost our roof that year. So I have a feeling that we will be okay until they log again. It will depend on how long they planned the the re-growth for. It is normally about every 30 to 50 years. We are now coming up on the 30 year anniversary of the '82 logging. It will be interesting to see what happens in the nest couple of years.

You regret buying there? want to make sure that was not typo.
One of my main concerns is transportation and shopping....

I would have to see where everything its.... take a walk from house to bus stop and stores to see if its something I want etc... but first stop was do I even want the area, hence the questions
