We are going to see parents in Elma today, and taking half the Pumpkin Cheescake I made yesterday..looks awesome & smells like pumpkin Caramel!!!!!!!

No way we two can eat it all~~~~~~~~

Also, took 6 doz eggs to a retail place before DH went to CA 3 weeks ago.
They still had 2 doz left a few days ago so I brought the "old" home & left them 5 doz fresh.
I brought the 3 week old eggs home & made a massive steamed batch of hard cooked eggs (steamed) chilled in cold water, and every egg peeled perfectly.
So that tells ya how old the store eggs are!

AND, if you want to peel eggs, stuff a doz in the back of your fridge & waite 3 weeks...

Last time DH went to CA, his Dad gave him a brand new one of these things:

We have not tried it, and wondered if any of you have heard of it or tried it???
Supposed to really help with pain...
Dad said it helped him, as soon as he got it in the mail box his knee felt all better

So he never used it !

You should see what I have "acquired". A beautiful big black cockerel from Salina and 2 beautiful black pullets from Christina....Orps of course. They are gorgeous. I have 5 10-week old lavendar orps....the cockerels are already as big as a couple of my old layers.

How are your birds? I loved your splashes. Huge birds.

Is your Blue Wheaten Marans roo still available? Saw him on Craigslist and wanted him but had no way to get him here. If he is available maybe next time someone is in your area we can do a chicken relay. I have 2 very nice roos but I really love your boy! If he's not available maybe we can try and do the hatching egg thing again this season.

I have some of Cindy's Serama eggs hatching right now! 3 will make it, it looks like

I tried to get chick starter yesterday, in small bags--no go lol! Not chick season yet!
Am anxiously waiting for my cochins to start laying.

I will get photos on here as soon as I can. Voltron's babies are looking good. One is dark...with some red colors. One is yellow with a black "saddle" and then one is definitely white....with the black "saddle". I am having computer problems so I will get them on here as soon as I can. the 1 viable Bill egg did not hatch. I hate they come so far and then don't make it .... it is so sad.

Did I tell you guys how Bumble just helped herself to a drink of my coffee? I don't rememberif I did or not. It was luke warm....so she did not burn herself....but she did not care muh for it. Although she did go for a second dip.

wanted to wish you all a happy new year in case I don't get on again before that ...

for those I have PROMISED something ... I will get to you as soon as I can; have been having some odd symptoms, they make me "socially unacceptable", and I'm hoping they will soon depart

can't go see my doctor until we get to Maui, first week in February -- I have a pretty good idea what's going on, just need confirmation from the doctor, and appropriate medication (unfortunately, prescription-only)

don't have the crate coop in shape yet, to take the chicks I said I would, hoping to get some better weather and some help from DS
(who is dealing with some sort of flu)

but I haven't forgotten anyone ... in my prayers, sending virtual hugs even if I don't SAY so

Can't wait to see the pics! That stinks that the Bill egg didn't hatch ...I think I lost all 4 Serama eggs I had in for my NYD hatch. My turner cord got stuck in the edge of the lid & I didn't realize it for a few days ...

I locked down 2 of Voltrons eggs anyway, but I don't think they're gonna do anything.
