not going to make it till midnight, my eyelids are drooping ... so happy new year to all and sundry -- neighbor had some fireworks going an hour or so ago, went out to watch when I heard them popping (mostly Roman candle types)

I've seen the fireworks off the Space Needle before, TV is great but you lose the subtlety of direct vision

no I'm not going to go load up my muzzleloaders just to make noise ! though I imagine if anyone in the neighborhood starts doing so, Roopert will crow and wake everyone else up ...

HOnestly...don't have a clue.
I came home....DH had the Tv on in our bedroom....and my lavendar orps were on it.
I can ask him for more details and get back to you. They are fun to watch. Actually, they are only 10 weeks old and came from being in the house - so they have a light bulb on them for heat - I was worried about them.

I just got through being tortured having to watch 2 hours of a movie (Monte Carlo) with my 10 yo dd. had fun though. We snuggled...then she argued it was not midnight yet. I told her it was midnight in Montana....go to bed.

I won't make it another 10 minutes. Good nite all.

I can't remember how many days ago I last logged on ... I've not been feeling too good, just tired and run-down. I had a fever earlier in the week. Probably I just need sleep and no obligations for the next few days.
