I WAS going to take the pen nets down this winter as we almost lost them last year, shown below:

Hard to get in the gate, then ya have to hunker & crab your way in & beat the net from underneath with a broom & it all falls on your head !!!

I gotta go in back & snap some shots of the chick pen that crashed at 4 AM...a BIG PEN fully covered...it is TRASHED !!!!!!!!

OK qwik note to say I am back. I just measured 16-17" of snow and it hs melted a bit. I was more worried about saving coops / runs than measuring snow. We lost power at 7:00 am so I figured that was a good time to go start trying to slavage what I could. Well I worked until 10:30 and managed to salvage ALL so far with minimal repairs needed when the weather gets better. As near as I can tell I still have total containment / security. We are still with out power so I had to go dig out the current bush and plug into it. I will have pics on soon. Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers but please remember there are others too. And please reach out and try to help those around you if you can.

No wind so far..that is supposed to accompany the warm front coming in today & bringing rain.
I am hoping it does not get too bad, but anything will be better than this mess.
Now we have flood warnings.........
I am soooooooo surprised Illia did not get any snow !

I thought for sure those up high would get more than us !

yea that is weird?? Well hang in there everyone! Stay warm!! I'm like Robin, I have to watch the ice and holes in the ground that are filled with snow!! If I step wrong!! YIKES!! they are calling for rain and freezing rain tomorrow and the next day!! OH BOY!!!

That means more stupid people out trying to drive and scaring the bajeezes out of everyone!!

There! my thoughts EXACTLY !! Like it never snows in Kansas?? Terry was saying he was down in ID and people where crowding Walmart to stock up!! Really?? It's things like that that make you wonder where God put their brains?? I just don't get it??!!

I don't get it either.
About snow. We have only had 1/4 inch this season, last year we had about 40 inches. We average 30 a year.
