Just heard on the news that Orcas Island schools have gone from a delay to cancelled, and that leaves only Ocean Beach school district as the ONLY Western Washington School district that is open today!!! Those poor kids!!! LOL!!

Really?? Why do they even bother?? If everyone around you is closed, don't you think you should be too??

people need to use their brains!! Now, they have to risk getting them home, when if they had it closed they wouldn't have to worry about it!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!

I went out back, very carefully & took some pics of the chick pen.....the entire net is on the ground ON about 8" of snow with another 10" on top, sandwiched.......

Then I went out front & took pics of the java coop/netting, the Buckeye coop/netting & the Marans coop/netting..........

Yes, I am here. We didn't get much new snow, only 2" more at most. We still have power! Hoping it stays on! Watching the news and looking at those winds down in Oregon, one place had over 100 mph winds!!! Those just need to stay down there!!!

Love the photo's! I'll have to try and take some today. We are totally impressed. We had a county plow come up our hill and midnight and there is another one out there right now!!!!

We have so much work to do & it is snot slippery right now with rain coming down heavy at times....Hoping & praying we do not get any of the wind Oregon coast is getting, up to 110 miles per hour.....I think I have had quite enough !

Sorry but I was in too much of a hurry to try to slavage so didn't get any before pics. But you can see that after I got the snow off the wire is still almost on the ground. THis one is my biggest concern as it is my Am B and I know with no top they will fly off.


And the RIR pen this one the neting was nearly high enough for me to walk in. But now it is on the ground. The "T" posts that hold the sides up are pulled flat to the ground.



And remember them garden hogs from a day or so ago? Well they are not so happy now. Do ya see em they are just 2 lumps in the snow.

OMG, so sorry. I went through this a few years ago and lost a load of birds. Now I am net free because we made leantoos and the bird barn. Hope all are ok!
