Lost phones and internet for a few minutes there. Lights have been flickering. Soon we will be without again I fear. Not enough time to have built up the mantle and install a woodstove, but at least the driveway is clear!

Huge winds here in University Place too. Sounds like someone is pouring buckets of water off the roof onto the deck and lower roof outside my bedroom. Lights have flickered a few times. I'm hoping we don't lose power here or anywhere else for that matter! I think our BYCers have been through enough this past week!

huge winds here too, and HAIL, great gobs of it

lost power again though this time only for a few minutes, probably weakened limbs bouncing off the power lines

generator ran out of gas so if the land power goes again, we're heading for bed

hope all are safe ....

and thank goodness our coop is STURDY ; and somewhat protected by the house and by the crate beside it ...

our neighbor had the whole roof ripped off his carport, and that's on the LEE side of his house ! it's been up for probably 15 years (that's where he used to keep his chickens so it's a good thing he gave the coop to me ...

Hi All;  I hope that everyone is recuperating from the storms this past week.  We had over 2 foot of snow up here and my birds stayed in their coop looking out the door as if to say "I am NOT stepping foot outside."  They were all very happy to see the Sun today.

I have 2 beautiful English orpington splash pullets that are just starting to lay.  I would like to sell them, if anyone is interested let me know.  They look a little rough cause of being a little wet, but they are healthy and happy birds.

those of you that like the english orps so much, these are two english pullets and should make some really nice blue babies.

They are very nice and if I were able to do any breeding here I'd be picking those ladies up in a hurry.  As it is I'm sorely tempted by them, but still want to hold out for my one blue English Orp girl.  I am so taken by the lacing on the blues. One of these days...  Hmm, maybe a splash AND a blue?...

you get the nicest lacing from the splash parents. black to splash gives you 100% blue offspring :)

I am sorely tempted by these ladies......I just don't have room at the moment! My Orp coop is already too small!!!! Need to work on DH to build me that shed I need for the larger birds this spring.....:barnie

hahaa!! I have to go meet Carol in about a week, better get that pen built up bigger, I can bring them back for you lol deliver right to your door!
