OMG!
so because I am in constant pain, mind you it varies in pain level, it has been very hard to sleep.

Pettec, there is nothing like lost sleep to make one feel completely shattered and sub-human.

I know there is much weighing on your mind, but I do hope you are able to get some rest, and that the Friday doctor visit is a step in making the pain go away too!

Don't worry girl! You have a lot to deal with you have to get out. I'm sure you haven't brought anyone down. We've all had our moments on here. I know some of these groups are few and far between but maybe a support group would help. You could get it all out with people who have been through the same thing maybe.

Hope you make some progress at the Docs on Friday! You need to be out of pain. Physical and emotional and if you could do some excercising it could help with depression.

Have fun at Women in Ag too! I was going to go but realized I probably wouldn't make it through the day let alone get out of bed after a big surprise 60th Bday bash for a friend the night before.

Thanks ! I am going to see what's out there for parents of abused kids, I would think they would have a group like that?? And yea, you might be in recouping mode the next day!! I'll share what I find out tho!!

I'm having a bad/ sleepy/ hands don't work/ blood sugar constantly dropping to stupid mistake levels day, and find myself wishing I had an on-call keeper.

pity the poor tourists ... though possibly there are places on the island where it isn't raining ... we just can't see them from here

our friends Dave and Ruth tease us that we "always bring the rain with us" ... their suburban farm needs the precip ...

the chickens are back in underneath the kukui trees where the rain rarely penetrates ... and NO rooster survived the year (ha ha)

But it's a warm rain! :gig
Ah, you have kukui trees...I love kukui nut leis!
Much aloha your way.

60* rain is NOT WARM !!!! fortunately it has cleared off considerably today; still cloudy but they aren't the awful purple-blue-gray monsoon clouds we had yesterday

we were rather chilly last night, had to find a second sheet to pull over us (most of our stuff is still packed inside one of the cars in the garage) and even then we shivered; usually we need no covers and often have the ceiling fan blowing air at us as well

the locals are pulling on sweaters and sweatshirts, looking unhappy, while daytimes it's about as nice here as it was the couple of days before we left Washington, so it's great for us

it'll get back to its usual mid-70s in a couple of days ... meanwhile we bless the cooler weather, it's easier to haul boxes and bags around, from storage to the house, if it isn't pushing 80*

if I can find my drill, I might drill out some genuine kukui nuts off the ground, bring a lei back for you (or mail it) --- of course the southeast-Asia-made ones are all over the tourist stores, and cheap; this one would be unpolished and "aged" quite naturally ...
