Is anybody else covered in snow??!

Just spent the last 2 hrs in the ER with FIL in severe pain.
Thank God it was not a heart attack.
Just a kidney stone! Whew!
They have to check for infection then they will send him home to try to pass the thing.

It's it bedtime yet????

While I am happy that it wasn't a heart attack. Don't underestimate a kidney stone. The pain is way worse than child birth. It is incredible! There isn't anything so much fun as vomiting from the pain. I have had the privilege of at least doing this twice. The medication Toradol is going to be his best friend.

He looks wonderful! I will be shopping for a deathrow dog that does not cost a fortune when my pup passes away. due to my hearing/sight I have to have a dog with me when I sleep.... or you could have a party in my bedroom and I'd never know. I love big dogs and tend to get the trouble makers that are gladiator breeds like rott, dobbies, shepards, ridgebacks, etc.. average 90-100 lbs. I then train them to be social and submissive to small animal and children/people.

I will let you know how this goes. Apparently there are a lot of Black Russian Terriers in the area. Unfortunately there is an unethical breeder in Washington. So these wonder dogs often become available. The BRT's have a very interesting history. It's worth reading about. There are a number of people on BYC that would benefit from reading about how to develop a new breed.

It's funny how everything has come together. The only thing I have had any problem with is getting from Enumclaw to the airport.

totalcolour good thing you had a well placed arm in the second photo or it would have been labeled a "wardrobe malfunction." You had quite a dog

My parents had alot of snapshots of me as a very young girl, totally topless. I often wondered why my sister and brother were always covered. Couldn't they afford tops for me???

So I wonder if I have enough nerve too bring Sterling the cat home.

He looks like he could kick a couple of dogs around.

CL. Do you have a battery? SF asked this yesterday and until then I had totally forgot some come battery operated. I remember changing batteries and everything all good years ago.

If you ever go thru Seattle on a Tuesday stop in here .................

You can buy everything computer related cheap. They have bins of mice, cords of all kinds, printers, keyboards, etc.
You can see some of their stuff at that link but that only shows a small part of what they have.

Greg honestly it is a wired in standard mouse....do they have batteries ???????????????????

Well I have confirmed flights, and I have officially adopted Jet. He is a Black Russian Terrier.
Now I am praying that I am not in over my head. I have had these same feelings before, when I have been taking on a very large dog with an unknown personality. The shelter in Mesquite has been fabulous to work with, but then I think that they only have a total of 4 animals in their shelter right now. lol

Jet sound like he just needs to be taught who is the boss, and then he will need a job to do. He is going to be altered on Friday, and the plane leaves at 9:05pm Saturday. So I am really hoping that he won't be feeling up to his normal bouncy self for the flight.

There is a Blue Russian/Bobtailed cat at the shelter also. He speaks to me in the picture of him. Does anyone one have a home for him? I really don't need another cat given that I already am responsible for 5 cats. Here is the link to him. http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/22264156 He looks like a very healthy and confident cat.

I really appreciate the feedback about the shelter. It's good to know that I am not alone with this experience. The shelters must adopt out some of the animals, just not sure who. Most of the time I don't even think to bother with shelters. I know that I don't want a puppy, or else I would have simply gone directly to a breeder. I do know that over the years, I have rescued a number of animals that being dumped on craigslist. I have yet to have any of them placed in a shelter. I have always found them good forever homes, and I have always been willing to take any of them back if need be. It's fascinating how well everything has worked out to be able to adopt Jet.

Well I still need to book the rental car, and go buy a crate big enough for Jet. ttfn

Oh My !
He is awesome !
My family still thinks I am KOOKS for driving to Moses lake Shelter to adopt Jack !!!!!!!!!!!!!! You just know the love when you see it !
I would love the cat....but not if a male.

I'm working a Private Wine Tasting Party at the wine shop right now and while I'm thinking of it, wanted to let everyone know we're having a Customer Appreciation Day and Open House on Friday from Noon until 7 PM. I'll be making biscotti, we'll have various snacks out like garlic toast and bruschetta, cheese and crackers, meatballs...

Of course there is free wine sampling all day, but we are running a ONE DAY special. 6 bottles of Vino Aquino wine, YOUR choice, for $59.00. NO coupon needed.
Any personalized labels needed that day would be an additional $3 per bottle...

I'm only letting you guys know because these specials don't run all the time and I think I was scolded the last time when I didn't give folks enough advance notice!

We had between 1"-2". When I went to town this morning. It was like near whiteout conditions at the top of the hill.

ETA Glad that your FIL wasn't having heart problems. Not that the other are not bad but Probably easier for Dr. to treat.
