Well, I am off to the fanny doc in the morning for my, ummmm, proceedure.
Worst part about it all is getting up & outta here by 6 AM !!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone see any Northern Lights yet ?????????????????
Heard tell that it is far brighter in E WA than here...and we have trees to the North, good view to the south and "it" should richochet on those 2 horizones............

Well I had a bad day today when it comes to hatching. I finally got enough eggs again to put under the broody. And I pulled out the older eggs. they were 4 days behind. The first egg I cracked had a live chick in it.

. So I put the rest of the eggs back under her. Well tonight she decided she was done.

OHHHH!!! Wow!! Bad timing on her part!! Drat!!! I'm sorry!!

I just candled them and they all have veins..... and I have no incubator..... I warmed up a rice pillow, put the eggs on there and then put a wet towel over them.

Had a lovely visit today with Lyn/Cowgirlgrace and Dana/SadieSue and came home with more birds and lovely wine!!!! LOTS of lovely wine!!!! Thanks ladies!!!!

We did have a good time, didn't we? I really enjoyed visiting with you both today. Thank you ladies for coming into the shop to visit for awhile! Looking forward to seeing everyone in Monroe next weekend -

Here you are!
The yellow ones are the Lemon Cuckoo Orpington and the others are the cream Legbar. The girls have the stripes on their head and the boys heads are lighter in color.

Would an electric heating pad be too hot?

I hatched a bunch of pheasant eggs on a heating pad in a pinch but you have to use an old one because the new ones have a safety shut off built into them now.. Good luck!!!
