OK so here's my rant! After my poor son came over to help us do the moving for him to move in he hurt his back! You guessed it cant do anything for 5 days. He needs to de stress and that just doesn't seem to be coming his way. This poor guy, so I told him I just cleared out one room and he didn't need to come over tomorrow and help me. Now I get to work my you know what off ( I wish it would fall off) so if he comes over he wont no I told a white lie..
When I told my hubby that he starting giving it to me because he knows I'll do it and than wont be able to move also... I'm just going to move like a turtle and it will get done. Leave it to a woman to set her mind to it and there's no stopping us!!

OK I am outta here...spent hours on the PMs & classifieds..........I wish I could find a pic of the wood plackt I have on my door from CR............still looking~~~~~~~

Sorry I have not checked in for about a week - I'm feeling down in the dumps and didn't really feel much like talking. I found out that a good friend of mine had brain surgery on Monday to remove a brain tumor that was found a few days earlier. She was my college roomie and we used to be best friends, but life got in the way. I did not find out about her troubles until after the surgerey. We have not been good at keeping up. I checked her FB and saw that she has been having a really tough time for at least 6 months. I need to really re-evaluate what is important to me so that I may be here for my friends. She has never been one to reach out to anyone, but it looks like she has been reaching a lot lately to deaf ears. She has always been high maintenance because of her incredibly bad luck. She grew up on the banks of the Columbia not far from Hanford, her dad died when she was a child so she and her siblings picked apples and other crops to get by. She had a child while still a teen, lost her thyroid before 20, systemic lupus before she was 30, Raynauds before 40 and now she is 50. She had a lot of close calls when she was first learning to manage her lupus, several times when her doctors told her to prepare for death and find a guardian for her daughter who is now over 30. She moved up from California a few years ago in large part because she missed our friendship. I think I tired of her health woes and relationship woes, so our friendship drifted apart. She aparantly drifted from her daughter who thankfully ran back to her side when she learned of the brain tumor. I need to re-connect. I was told that her headaches and poor health caused her to lose her job and that in turn is causing her to lose her house that she had worked so hard for. She is currentlly being foreclosed on and has hired an attorney to try and get Social Security benefits. I need to get to Everett to pay her a visit.

Im so sorry to hear about your friend. I do think she has a good friend in you.

Thanks. I'm just dissappointed in myself. I spend so much time and energy on earning a living that I forget what it is that I am living for.

Right now I feel like I need some really good dark chocolate, a glass of red wine and the company of my old friends.

I am available to help drink wine and eat chocolate anytime.

OK I am a bit (ok maybe a bunch) late but here is pics of some of the silly chicks I been making. I have also figured out how to make the 3D nautical type stars.

I am going to need a flock of these birds. So put me down for 3 of each color. I would love some red ones too. Let my know about how much for a dozen of these little beasties.

Sorry to hear about your friend. Just keep in mind you still have time. Make the best use of it.
See I had a similar thing a year ago March 11,2011. I found out he had problems and was going to Seattle. I was hurt that I hadn't been told I was also angry at my self for not staying in touch. See we only lived 10 miles apart. Two days later I found out that I wouldn't get to make those visits I wish I had.
Sadly we tend to get distracted and overlook things.
