I have a rocking egg in the bator since last night but no pip. Its still rocking and I finally got the temp to go up. I thought I had turned up the little heater but I guess I didn't and the room was maybe 2 degrees warmer then the rest of the house which was at 52.

These next few days may be a little rough for me. See it was 2 years ago 4/10 that my little friend Buddy died in my hands while I was assuring him that the vet was going to make him OK.

It was 6 years ago today that DW suffered a stroke which has really thrown a big twist in our lives.

It was 27 years ago tomorrow (that year it was the day before Easter) that my dad died.

And 22 years ago 4/10 that my mom died (that year it was the day after Easter).

Sorry but I can't bring myself to look forward to this time of year.

Ok sorry I don't intend to be a downer just in need of somewhere to turn.


Hope everybody has a nice Easter weekend however you may choose to observe / celebrate it.

There is 8 of the little boogers here !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The hens will not hatch for quite a while, if at all.

Just wondering if any of you up in Washington had an idea were a person in Oregon could get some olive eggers? Chicks or eggs are fine. I am in NE Oregon if that helps any.

All of my broody hens has so many little faces peeking out.
despite the heat lamp out there...it is so cold !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wish spring would warm up !!!!!!!!!!
I will try & get photos today of peeking faces

Moved started birds.....gotta clean the brooder pens & move the 'old' 2 week olds over where the started used to be..and make room for the massive mega-dozens hatching out now.

So I will pop back in later.
