I have five hens 3 blues, 1 black and 1 splash. They are all a year old. Two of the blue ones are broody now. I would like to sell all five together for $30. If interested please email a phone number and I will call you.

Not even due until tomorrow! =) Blueberry is a happy mama!

And here are a couple of Miss Juno in a huge hole she made in the garden -

there is still one more chick under there!

Adorable! When I had a broody hatch eggs, they hatched a day early as well.

No, do not do this. They will most likely kill it. It either needs a friend or to go back to the feed store.

eta - I'm surprised that they would let anyone leave with just one chick!
I pretty much knew that. At this point its in a brooder in garage. And we are thinking of putting it in brooder in coop where it is totally confined and secure. So my question is does it need a friend for sure? Even if its in brooder out in coop with other chickens around it? (but secure and not "with" the other chickens)

Thanks for answering for me! I do want a blue/gray and/or white, but they need to be between 10-12 weeks old. It's gotta be just right or I know it won't work well. My girls are already acting like they want to kill the 2 newbies and they're not even face to face yet! We'll give them some time to get used to each other before introducing them face to face. So yeah, 10-12 week old blue/gray/white EEers would be awesome!

Yes it needs a friend. Either you or another chick.

Welcome to BYC Lillypad. I have a pair of peafowl. I didn't raise them, though......although hopefully my Kate will come back from her nest in the woods with a couple that I can raise soon!
Awesome! How do you like them? Also, how did you find the zoning ordinances for your area? I've looked it up and haven't found anything to stop me yet but I'm afraid there will be some loop hole and all it'll take is one jerk complaining...

What do mean by me? I innteract with my chicks a lot. But do you mean more interaction?

I'm just overwhelmed. We are set up for 6 chickens. We lose one. My brother immediently replaces it with one chick. And now I might need to get it a friend so that makes 7. Kinda figuring this out as we go along. I'm everything will work out, just raw now its freaking me out. LOL
