That's pretty far for me to drive with the kids :( But I really want one!

Question for anyone who knows their breeds: I'm just wondering who in my flock is most likely to go broody, if anyone? I certainly hope I have at least one good broody breed in my mix, so that maybe I can skip the silkie and count on one I've already got?
RIR (I know, she won't be a good mama most likely...)
Black Australorp
Buff Orpingtons
Easter Eggers
Welsummer
GLW
Marans/EE x
Cuckoo Marans/Ameraucana x
heritage breeds will always go broody more often then more recently developed breeds.
From the list I would guess the Wellies, and Ameraucana birds.

My "DH" just drove home drunk. I am beyond livid. This is not like him and I don't know what the he** he was thinking. And he drove his drinking buddy home too! Just the thought of putting his friend in danger and all the rest of those on the road-oh my God the more I think about it the angrier I am getting.

Thank God I am taking the kids down to Oregon tomorrow, because I don't even want to be in the same room with him for at least a week. He won't even remember a word I said to him tonight, which wasn't much because I will wait until tomorrow. But I did tell him if he ever ends up in jail on a DUI that he'll stay there.

Now I am listening to him re-experience everything he drank. I hope it was frickin worth it. I am absolutely disgusted with his behavior right now.
I have many many times wished that drunks could remember everything they say & do while drunk.
Then maybe from sheer fear & embarrassment, they would stop drinking.

I would be livid to. I don't remember who she is but someone on this thread that had the same thing happen to her except her husband got into a wreck. Caused a lot of problems for them.

Edit: Word change. Sorry BYC I did not know that word was frowned upon in this establishment.
That was Cheryl...her hubby had a date with a big fir tree, on the other side of a ditch.

Woke up to two dead chocolate Orp chicks. One was buried in the straw with a broken neck. One looked like it was sleeping. The other was peeping in loneliness.

They were JUST FINE last night at 10pm, and there was no power outage and no sign that anything got into the brooder.

This week is just killing me!
Man you are having a bad week !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone. I am looking for 3 black australorp female chicks from a breeder in W.WA hopefully. Thought I'd post here to see if anyone could help me in my quest. Thanks so much for reading my post.
